Julia is a very nice host, very communicative and caring. I have stayed in many vrbo's so I want to be honest in my review as I'm a person who always reads them before making a decision. I feel slightly guilty about this but if I had read this review while searching I would have been grateful and it would have saved me time and peace of mind, so ...
I chose this place over one I had stayed in prior because it was cheaper and I wanted to save $. Since I wound up leaving a night early (not requesting a refund) I realized I could and should have just paid the extra $50 a night for a finely appointed, luxury cabin. It would have been worth it. Lesson learned.
Again, Julia is very sweet, and I'm being honest but also slightly picky for those who care about this type of stuff.
The little house is fine - very very basic. I was asked to arrive an hour later due to a guest leaving late and the cleaning that needed to be done. No problem. When I arrived though 15 mins later than requested, I still had to wait another 15 mins before I could get in and then the place was so filled with fumes, I had to open all the windows and wait outside for another hour before I could feel comfortable inhabiting. The fireplace didn't work, the dishwasher didn't work, there were various ants and other bugs, a wasp nest in the eaves on the deck was problematic, (but the time on the deck when not pestered by wasps was very nice) the mattress and couch were supremely uncomfortable and the first night there was a squirrel scratching inside the wall of the bedroom. Not the best environment for sleeping.
So if you find none of that bothersome and you think I'm being too picky or overreacting, by all means book the place and enjoy!
