"The staff were great - friendly and welcoming. The room was on the small side but we were only there for one night, and it was clean and comfortable (and the view of the hills was lovely). There was a large fan provided, which was very welcome given the heatwave that was taking place that week, We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. A perfect place for an overnight in the Lakes."

"First arrived and the sign to the hostel was covered so you can’t see where to go We met a really nice lady who told us we should had an email with booking room number we we didn’t.. The room wasn’t great it needs updating the place smells of feet in the corridor and room The room wasn’t great it clean the beding and towels clean just the carpet was stained you didn’t wanna put your feet on it The walls where painted over mold The bathrooms where clean need more than 1 shower and 1 loo Over...

"The hotel is on a quiet lane close to the high street in Windermere. It is run by people who are obviously very experienced in hospitality and clearly responsive to what their guests require. The staff are friendly and helpful. The property is attractive and well maintained, also with a lovely garden where guests can sit. Our room was recently decorated, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast had varied choices which were nicely prepared and presented. There is a good sized car...

"This was a nice place to stay for a few nights, and quiet apart from the neighbour’s yappy dog and in a great central location for Windermere. Helpful staff, breakfast was good - perhaps could do with slightly bigger portion sizes though. The shower was tiny. Only comfortable if you are child-sized. This was my only bugbear as I am a 6ft fat bloke. Car parking plentiful. But be aware if you have an SUV you might struggle to get round the back because of the poor parking of others making it...

"Rooms are a decent size and good facilities. Bar is great with a good selection of beers and spirits. The food is fantastic! I have a dietary requirement and they catered for me and were very knowledgeable of the ingredients in the meals. Thoroughly recommend staying here. "
