"It’s on the road to the lake, just outside Ambleside Our room was clean and well appointed. There are no reception staff - but very clear instructions regarding access to the property are sent to you before arrival and further information is provided in the room. We were here for one night and it was ideal for our short stay. "
"Excellent and relaxing place to stay. You can walk out of the hotel and climb a Wainwright, then return for a relaxing time in the Spa. Staff are really friendly and professional. "
"Lovely place to stay in Keswick, a little bit from the town centre for walking but a very short distance from the bus route into town and elsewhere. Nice room and facilities, food fantastic and the staff simply can't do enough for you. We would certainly highly recommend this accommodation without any hesitation. Its a Gem with plenty of car parking. "
"Breakfast was excellent but fried eggs were over cooked and not nice. Fried eggs should have a nice soft runny h yolk a minor point which I am sure can be easily sorted"
"Best spa i have ever been to. Been to alot of spa's up the north of england but this one blows them all away, low wood offers a budget and more exclusive packages that suit your needs. All areas were clean to a high standard and the on site resturant and bar are a bonus. Breakfast was more than what most places offer. "
"Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Comfortable rooms with great breakfasts. We were lucky with the weather so were able to appreciate the well maintained gardens. "
"The hotel was perfect for a family week of rambling in a rain soaked week. Our puppy was welcomed and kids enjoyed the food.
