Poor check in, I was arriving after 6pm so I contacted the inn was told to call the lady when I got there. Called her before I even stepped into the lobby. Waited no one showed up. Went next door to their Italian restaurant. Told somebody still waited. Had to go back again and she was behind the cashier's desk telling me she'd be there shortly and it was another 10 minutes. The connecting restaurant has access to the hotel for the restrooms on the first floor. There is no way for you to feel safe in this hotel because all the restaurant guests have access to this hotel. Our room the deadbolt wouldn't even work half of it was missing. Will never stay here again

Cute historical inn. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Italian restaurant downstairs is delicious! Odd that they did not have a desk clerk but it was never an issue.

We totally enjoyed our short trip. The hotel location was great and the service good and friendly. Location is perfect for bars/restaurants and tourist attractions. Parking very easy.

Honestly I can say so many good things about this place! It was quiet and adorable. My family all shared one side of the 2nd story and it was awesome. The view of the city was beautiful, the walking distance from everything, our room and bathroom were clean and comfy! I will be back for sure!

The inn was cute and enjoyed the stay. As for the quietness, it was a little loud when others where coming up the stairs. Other than that we will be sure to book again.

If you would like to trade today for "yesteryear" this place takes you there. It is an older building but remodeled to be beautiful. Very unique. We would like to go back. Cafe in the same building with many others close by. Gonzales is a neat little town. Our room was small but very comfortable. Only down was a very faint musty odor.

We love Dilworth. The only thing I’d say is, comparing staying at an interior room as opposed to the room overlooking downtown, pay for that one!

Great overall stay.
Great overall stay. It was a nice get away weekend. Hotel was clean and quiet while we where their. Not many people in the hotel. The room had a nice corner view of the square. Staff got anything we needed. Didn't have any issues.

I was very disappointed with my stay as there were many things wrong with it. The ice maker was broken but at least there was a fridge in the room. The room was dusty with huge dust bunnies on the fan. The unfortunate thing is they won't let you alter the AC lower than 72 so you had to use the fan as it was hot at night. So we woke up with really bad allergies. They removed the dead bolt from the door so someone with a key barged into a room prior to check out which was at 11am. This is extremely dangerous as anyone could come into your room. The door also jammed multiple times and was difficult to get into. The mattresses are also not the best quality so expect to wake up sore.

We had a really nice stay at this property. It was clean, had a charm and you could feel the history when you walked in the building. The rooms were large with high ceilings, beds were very comfortable.

Perfect basecamp for Texas history outings
This hotel was a lovely and comfortable base for our Texas history adventures in Gonzales and surrounding areas, including a tour of Shiner brewery. The attached Italian restaurant is great, and there are other walkable places to eat and drink.

The BEST in comfort and service
From check in until my departure, my stay was amazing! The most friendly and customer-oriented and available front desk staff I have ever found! There was not a detail out of place and the room and bed were extremely comfortable and clean. I can’t wait to be able to return!

I liked the fact that it was older but nice. It was also conveniently located for my stay. However, The Wireless network connectivity was terrible and unusable, the rooms AC unit was out so a Window unit had been installed. It wasn't quite by any means. Wasn't sure why there were two remotes for the TV and didn't like the factr there was no guide channel.

The hotel is very cute and was perfect for a 1 night stay in Gonzales. It’s in walking distance of everything! We did have some minor issues like the water wouldn’t drain in our bathroom shower, the towels could be updated only because you can tell they’re very old and the water faucet in the bathroom sink had very low water pressure. These minor things didn’t have an affect on our stay and we’d stay again. The coffee bar is a huge plus!

We needed lodging for the evening of a wedding attended in Shiner to avoid driving back to Houston afterwards. We searched the area (Shiner, Hallettsville, Gonzales) and ran across this. It turned out to be a hidden gem. Very clean and comfortable (the comfort of the bed is my usual, first gauge of quality....and this king bed was extra comfy).

Dilworth was very clean and updated very well. Found everything we needed. Bed was comfortable. Nice Italian restaurant right down stairs. Great little stores for antiques within walking distance. If your into Texas history, you can find some interesting things around. Beautiful gun collection in the library there. That was a nice surprise.

This hotel used to be Bank and is in center of old town. The property dates from early 20th Century and is charming in that way but may not be for all tastes. The hotel has no reception or restaurant service but the owners are right next door in the adjoining Italian restaurant and are extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast may be had in cute Creperie half block away.
