Amish hideaway
We had blessed time celebrating Christmas in our Amish hideaway. The host are very friendly and informative. We had 13 of us and we all had our own space. Our only complaint might be, a lack of griddle. Otherwise well-stocked kitchen and a comfortable stay!

Family Thanksgiving getaway

Friends weekend!
This house was perfect for our friends getaway weekend. We enjoyed some local things and then actually headed into Lancaster for dinner and loved. Mary Bailey's. The house was spotless and yummy cookies greeted us on our arrival along with the family. Thanks for a great trip!

Lovely stay
We stayed with a total of 9 adults for our weekend trip to the PA Renaissance faire. The house was gorgeous and had enough space for all of us comfortably. Having a dishwasher was a blessing. Having a pool and hot tub was very relaxing after a day of walking around the fairgrounds. The owners were nice enough to show us their animals before we left. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to the PA Ren faire next year.

Stay at White Horse
Looking at the outside, we were a bit worried. Once entering, we were relieved and impressed with the overall facilities. Our only concerns were that none of the bathrooms were handicapped accessible and there were low rises between rooms which made for a potential tripping hazard. Other than that, it was great!!! Host and family were very friendly and hospitable.

A wonderful time in Gap, PA!
We spent a wonderful week with extended family at the White Horse Guest House in Gap Pennsylvania. Of course, we sampled the standard tourist attractions; Hershey World and Hershey Park are certainly worth a visit, but elicited mixed reviews among our family members. Mostly, we enjoyed the lesser known pleasures to be found in the more immediate area. A farm stand that boasts homemade root beer, and a nearby pretzel factory that provides hands-on tours were particularly big hits. Mostly, we loved the Guest House itself. Our children loved swimming in the very well maintained pool, and the hot tub was certainly relaxing after a long day of exploring. The fire pit was also enjoyed by all. The owners could not have been more gracious and generous, answering all our questions and going above and beyond to make sure that we had a fantastic time. If you ask nicely, they just may let you see their goats and horses. We certainly recommend a stay at the White Horse Guest House. Indeed, we already miss it.

The perfect place for us
This property was perfect for our family of 8. It was extremely clean and well stocked. With 3 living rooms ahd 4 bedrooms, everyone had space. It is a little far from the center of activities and some uneven flooring made it a challenge for me since I use a walker but I would recommend this property and Steve, the owner. And the kids loved the pool.

Covered Bridges of Lancaster County Tour
First , house was Awesome!!!! Plenty of room . Clean & comfortable. Words do no justice. We rode the Harley’s from the house to covered bridges Al around Lancaster . Nice to get back to home base , relaxing in jacuzzi, cooking steaks on the grill ! We will return .

We had a great stay here. The pool and hot tub were priceless, the house has a ton of space with a big kitchen and lots of seating. There is a grill with an outdoor area and there is a lot to do in that area. The owners were very responsive. I highly recommend we had a great time and will likely return and stay here again.

A great place for a family to get together
It was clean, bright, and cheery. We ranged from age 78 to 7 years, and everyone was happy. The pool and hot tub were bonus features that made for a lot of fun. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We had a great time!

Very spacious
I set this trip up for a group of my high school theater students, traveling to see Sight and Sound. Our group's plan changed along with the number in the group a few weeks before our visit, and Steve was willing and very accommodating of the changes. I did message him one time and didn't hear back from him for a few weeks, but when I did hear back he was very apologetic for the delay. As for the actual visit, the home was very nice and spacious with plenty of beds and bathrooms for our group of 19. The kitchen was nice, too. They struggled a bit to regulate the temperature at first but got it working in the end. I definitely would use them again.

Great space & beautiful property
I rented this house for my bridal party the weekend of my wedding. We wanted to be closer to the venue and this place was perfect. Very clean, super spacious, it happened to be warm out so the pool was open and ready to go which was a great perk! Overall, happy with the choice and the communication from the owner when I had questions was quick.

Family get together
It was very clean and met our needs. Have outstanding supplies in kitchen such as a crock pot, pots pans. Cookie scooper….. However. The wicker furniture in one room was extremely uncomfortable and the leather furniture in other room is all broken down. The high chair had a broken wheel.

Great Place to Stay in Lancaster
We really had a good time at our weekend away in Lancaster. Very nice place with lots of space. Owners were very pleasant, but not the easiest to communicate with and they didn’t immediately respond to our attempts of communication. Hot tub was very nice to relax in. House was a little out of the way from the main tourist areas, but that is also nice if you want to escape some of that. The heat/air conditioning system is tricky. One side of house freezing while other side was very hot and hard to sleep in. Despite a few negatives, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Way Better Than Expected!
This is a beautiful and very spacious home. Very clean, functional, fully stocked, in a peaceful area. They overdelivered. The children loved being able to visit with the farm animals of the owners. We had freedom, space, privacy. All that we needed and wanted was there. It was way beyond our expectations. We were extremely pleased, to say the least. Very hospitable family. They made fresh banana bread for us and left it on the counter for when we arrived. The outdoors was as beautiful as the indoors. The children were happy, the adults were happy. We were able to create some good memories. If you have a large group, this is perfect. So many positives, too many to mention here. Very peaceful. We loved it and would definitely stay again. Thank you Ruth and the Stoltzfus Family. We really appreciate your kindness and hospitatlity.

All in all we had a great vacation. There were a few "minor" issues in the beginning. Firstly, we arrived at the owners home at 4 o'clock (check in) to pick up the keys but no one was available until 4:30. I did call, text and send a vrbo message but no one returned the call. I was eventually able to get help from the owners daughter. There were also some rules like "no music outside" and "no alcohol." I felt like those should have been clear in the listing. My other biggest issue was the yard, there was a large grass hill behind the pool and it was full of Hornets. This mostly was in the morning and by the afternoon most of them had disappeared but my children couldn't play in the grass because I was afraid of them aggravating any of the Hornets and being stung. Thankfully no one in our party was allergic. But like I said all in all we did have a good time because vacation is what you make of it. We made great memories, regardless of those minor issues. There was a lot of positives, the house was beautiful and very clean. We loved the pool and the hot tub. The area was quiet with a nice view. We loved seeing horse & buggies, the horses working in the fields behind the house. The owners left a note at the house saying they had fresh eggs for sale and also invited us up to see their animals. Which we didn't get a chance to do. They also left fresh baked cookies on the counter, which I thought was very sweet. We loved being in close proximity to a lot of small farmers markets. And I highly suggest checking out LAPP valley, the ice cream was amazing.

Our Stay at White Horse Guest House, Lancaster, Pa.
We had a wonderful time on our 1 week stay at White Hor Guest House. There was a total of 13 people(my wife and myself, our 2 sons and 2 daughter-in laws and 7 grandchildren) who stayed. Very spacious and .accommodating for our needs. Close to Sight and Sound, Hersheypark,Strasburgh Railroad and many other great locations. The host family was tremendous. Would recomend this location to anyone. Had a wonderful time.

Great!!!!!
House was clean with lots of space. We loved the pool and the hot tub that the owner cleaned daily. Water in pool was clear and refreshing!!! We were greeted with a welcome note and some homemade cookies. Only negative is that it does sit along a very busy road so there was traffic noise, however we enjoyed the clip clop of the horse and buggy’s and it was quiet at night. Would definitely stay again!!

Family Reunion - A Great Location
This property is perfect for any large family gathering. Great accommodations, very large guest home with all of the amenities (pool, hot tub, TVs, Wi-fi, large fenced in back yard, propane grill, outdoor/indoor eating areas, fire pit, etc.). Lots of parking is available on site as well. The home is well taken care of and comes with all kitchen items you need to cook meals as well. The property managers are fantastic and live just up on the hill behind the home of anything is needed. I highly recommend this property!

Reunion
This property was amazing. We only wish we had had more time to stay longer. We are from Lancaster and have always loved the area. It was a quick weekend for us as we were here for a family reunion. The place was wonderful for our large family of 7 kids and 2 grandkids and my parents. The 16 month old was able to run around and not get into anything. My mom did have a little trouble with the 2 small transitions between the rooms. She fell once not seeing the one transition. She has bad knees. On a side note the 16 month old had no trouble. I love the scripture on the walls as well and the Bible reading nook. Thank you for loaning us your beautiful home for the weekend. God bless you and your family.

Perfect Family House
This house accommodated me, my husband, our two young kids, my sister, her husband and two kids and my dad. The house was perfect. It was clean and spacious. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own private space but there was also room for us all to hang out together. We loved the pool and hot tub and fire pit. I was worried about how baby proofed the home would be for my 13 month old but it was totally safe for him. When I accidentally blew a fuse in the bathroom, the owner came by to fix it almost immediately. This was a great house and we loved our stay.

More than your first impression
Our city pod of families thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Despite first impressions of possibly noisy street (certainly not city level) and bit odd house set up (like two parts of the house), it all works. The house is on a busy road but also includes buggies and not at all busy as night. And while most bedrooms and living room are on one side of the house, actually helps to have kitchen and dining on the other side to let kids/sleepers sleep in. Of course the highlight is having your own pool and jacuzzi and outdoor space with covered picnic tables and grill. You have to appreciate the Amish minimalism so if you’re a cook that wants lots of cutting boards, etc. consider bringing your own additions. The WiFi and electronics all worked well. Appreciated having options of individual AC units upstairs as well. Already thinking about next year!!

Everything we could possibly need was readily available!! The pictures don't not do the property justice! It's spacious and beautiful!! My family and I have ample oppositions to take beautiful pictures for memories. I and my friends/ family all want to rent the property in the future. I am definitely going to rent again!

Clean and Friendly
The property was exceptionally clean and well cared for and the owners, who were around briefly at check in were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Their children talked with ours and welcomed us to come see their animals if we wanted to explore. Upon entering the house we were pleasantly greeted with DELICIOUS zucchini bread, which was a wonderful touch. The kids loved spending time in the pool (although the weather was less than ideal) and the hot tub and they loved exploring very spacious home. The house sits on a somewhat busy road so we appreciate the gates around the property so the kids cannot easily get out into the street. Despite the busy road, it was still quiet inside the house. The location is perfect for a true Lancaster experience but is close to nearby touristy attractions. We would recommend (and have already) this to anyone looking for this type of getaway, especially in the COVID era.
