"Exceptionally well decorated and beautiful home to explore the local area. Very welcoming on reception and everything you could need. Only minor gripe was the upstairs shower that was either boiling hot or freezing cold with no in between but sort that and this place is perfect. "

"Lovely place, beautiful food and a really nice room and ambience. But what really made this place was the wonderful warm staff. The lady on arrival was really welcoming, the girl looking after us for food was very attentive and the gentleman who welcomed us at breakfast was delightful. "We loved our stay at Ashburton. Beautifully decorated room, with attention to detail, thoughtful hosts who were so lovely, and a fabulous location. Small, and quiet, just as we like it. Appreciated the parking outside the door too! Thoroughly recommended. "

"It is an excellent location, beautiful sea view rooms overlooking south bay, close to local amenities, there is a lift to take you down to the seafront and back again, only cost £2.50, I recommend it for the view. Rooms are serviced every day, great friendly staff, great restaurant and it’s dog friendly too, don’t take my word for it! Just go and enjoy 😊 "

"Whilst the decor was a little dated our stay was great. Staff helpful and friendly. You can't get breakfast at The Maynard but their sister hotel on the corner was just minutes away, and you got a discount for being guests at The Maynard. Staff/Service excellent. The only thing i would say is my friend was unable to take a bath or shower as there was not a slip mat to assist in their safety."

"The best part of this hotel is the sea view (at least from my room), a good bed and a good breakfast. All the rest such as furniture, carpets, walls and doors painting in the corridors and inside the room are very damaged by time and lack of maintenance. The cleanliness was very bad, I found a lot of long hair on the carpet, which was not mine (I have short hair) - throughout my stay there. Another problem is that you can perfectly hear what your neighbors from all directions are doing, so don't...
