"My sister and I stayed at The Dairy Barn for my birthday and the best word I can use to describe it is "bucolic". It possessed all of those attributes you look for in a quiet getaway. Rebecca was easy to communicate with and pleasant. We hit the local wineries on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Floyd, New River Trail and other small, quaint towns that dot that area. "House and location great for what we wanted to do. Was traveling with 2 dogs and they had lots of room to play in the back yard on long leashes and they even got to have there own room in the great big closet. You are definitely back in the woods and I would definitely suggest having a 4x4 to get in and out. Felt like a home away from home for a week. Would stay again if in area."

"Very nice property! Located close to the BlueRidge Parkway and I77, this rental was clean and well kept, with beautiful views from the large deck and so peaceful. Hostess stayed in contact throughout the stay. Highly recommend!"

"I have stayed in a lot of different homes and can't always give a 5 star rating but this homes deserves more than 5 stars. The house is beautiful, very clean, comfortable, and Betty would check to see if we needed anything. We sat out on the carport watching the rain and storm and it was BEAUTIFUL. I would absolutely recommend this home to my family and friends. I will be going back down to Mount Airy and will plan my trip to stay here again."

"View is exceptional. Nice windows inside to see the Blue Ridge Mountains. Saw a doe and her baby. Also saw turkey! Many amenities of home. Host was quick to reply to messages. Downside, there was an odor when we entered, but we like open windows the best anyway! With the winds open, fresh air was flowing. I’m just sensitive to odors, you may not be. Overall—- it was a very relaxing time for us as we celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary overlooking the mountains!"

"The house was very clean. The hosts are very courteous and respond quickly. We enjoyed our stay and our beagle Daisy enjoyed it too. It is our second time staying at this property, and we are amazed at how well items are stocked for our convenience in case we forget to pack something. I love the location. It is a very nice neighborhood. Betty and Jerry and excellent hosts. We are going to plan another trip to Mount Airy soon, and we plan to stay in this little house again."
