The house was on top of a mountain with a panoramic view. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed to withstand 6f and -17 windchills. Generator kicked in alot as we had wind gusts of 40 mph.

The house was extremely clean and nice. The view was superb from the back porch. Unfortunately, you could also see and hear the guests on the sister property (and another rental on the other side was also very close). We were unaware that the building we saw in the pictures was actually another rental house with a shared driveway with the one we rented. We would have liked to know that we should bring extra paper products - for a three night stay, we were provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1/2 roll of paper towels, and no tissues. The entire house had an overwhelming smell of moth balls, so bad that we had to keep the windows open the first two days. The management company responds to questions extremely slowly if at all.

Most food options are 20-30 mins away, but there are some good options. Contender's pizza and arcade was a good choice for us. Overall we had a great stay! We'd definitely stay here again!

Mountain Escape is a beautiful home with amazing views of Pilot Mountain and all surrounding areas. This was the perfect stay for my family and dogs.

This was our second stay at Rebecca's amazing house. We just love the view from the back deck and when sitting at the dining room table. It is truly breathtaking. We highly recommend The Pit Stop for some great take out food. It was fast, huge portions, and really delicious! We hope to stay here again our next time through the area.

Beautiful Location Home was cleanThe master bedroom was lovely The twin bunks are not ideal for teenagers or larger kiddos. This room would be ideal for kids 6-10 in our opinion. The view was beautiful and the fire pit a nice touch. Property owners responded timely with communication. I made the mistake of not taking down the needed info to get into house and had to drive a bit to get Wifi to get access code. Make sure you take down the information before you arrive. Be careful when entering driveway and exiting if you have a low riding vehicle or a carrier on back. Very steep but do able if you go slow. We would stay again it was very nice. Make sure you bring marshmallow and s’more fixings.

Amazing Views

Stayed one night in this charming mountain cabin with amazing views! Loved the firepit on the deck and the bed was incredibly comfortable! The host was very responsive and provided great suggestions for our stay. Host does warn about the driveway being steep and we can confirm it is indeed! However, our SUV had no problem, although it was a bit scary going down the first time! Visited nearby town Galax which offered lots of shops and restaurants. Went to “Creek Bottom Brewery” for dinner and they had great live music that evening . Great stay and would love to stay again our next time through the area.

Quick getaway

Spur of the moment decision to getaway. Found this property available and left next day. The house was perfect for the two of us and our 6 month old dog. It was clean and plenty large enough. Convenient for several trail hikes and checking out the small towns in the area. The view from the porch was great. Sitting with the fire pit going and realizing how quiet it was. Thank you !!!

Wonderful experience

The house was very clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. The Mountain View was absolutely beautiful! Loved watching the sunrise from the balcony! The host stayed in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. I have already booked my stay for next year 😁

Great condo

We stayed here just overnight on our way to Hilton Head and the views of the mountains were stunning!! This location was perfect for our party of 6 adults. I’m not one to complain, but the sheets to the pullout sofa were folded in the bunk bedroom closet and we assumed were clean. However, they had sand in them and definitely not clean. Other than that it was a great place to stay. We even saw a black bear on the way to dinner in the middle of the street. Don’t see that in Ohio!

Beautiful Views!

Mountain Escape was a wonderful, relaxing home. The views from just about every window, as well as the deck, were breathtaking, to say the least. The house was tastefully decorated and had everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Needless to say, we will be back!
