"Josh, thank you for a wonderful stay at your Blue Spruce Retreat. It served as the perfect base for our visit to the Redwood Curtain—conveniently situated to access all the local attractions while offering a peaceful atmosphere. The home is stylishly appointed, with standouts like the Frame TV and unique lighting details adding a welcoming, personable feel. The attention to detail and communication was excellent. We look forward to our next visit!"

"It’s a cosy little cabin in the middle of eureka. The check-in instructions were clear and precise. I was in town for a reunion so I really only used it for sleeping. I didn’t cook. It was perfect for a solo traveler; might be a bit tight for a couple. The best part for me was the location —- close to Harrison and Harris and Henderson and H Street. Very affordable and much quieter than Broadway."

"Ours was a one-night stay to access the Avenue of the Giants. The location was good for that. The kitchen was well-equipped. The property was secure, behind a gate. I liked having an extra half-bath and laundry onsite. However, I don't think I would stay again due to one bed that squeaked badly, no air conditioning (it was quite warm upstairs, and opening the windows brought in constant traffic noise on Highway 101 below; I resorted to the provided electric fan, which only helped a bit), and the...

"Great spot for a quick getaway. Free WiFi was super useful!"

"A lovely and clean home not far from lots of amazing sights! Amy was very helpful and kind, and I would certainly stay here again."

"Good sized room. Lots of bedding and more for chilly nights. Tiny bathroom. I am small so it worked for me. If I weighed 20 pounds more I would have struggled. The house is very quiet as is the neighborhood which is perfect for a traveler like me."

"Great and serene location away from the usual hustle and bustle of the city. The property was easily one of the most unique experiences, apparently they’re newer to VRBO so setting up and arriving was clunky at first but as soon as I made contact with the host Michaela, it was smooth sailing from there and things were not confusing. Check in and out were clear! Cozy place and there was a bevy of things to do close by, an excellent North Star if you’re visiting Humboldt County for the first time!...

"It's such a cute place and we enjoyed our stay. Would 100% stay again!"

"The bed was VERY comfortable. It allows pets. Plenty of beautiful landscaping. Pretty quiet. Will be booking again."

"It was clean, warm and cozy"

"Nice room"

"Everything was great! "

"This is motel 6 registered as a home/ apartment under Belvilla."

"This is a delightful location. It's very peaceful and quiet. The burgeoning garden outside the door is lovely! It's possible to walk up the street and right onto a hiking path through a redwood forest, and have the path essentially all to yourself. Julia went above and beyond to help me with an issue I had in making my reservation. She's a kind and hospitable host! Highly recommended."

"The place was very cute and the photos were accurate. VRBO didn't update me via email with the access code so it took me a little while to get into the place once we arrived. I ended up calling the host to get the code and she was great. She answered the call promptly and provided me with access instructions. We loved the stay and would come again."

"Room not terribly clean - floor between bed and windows was sticky. Elsewhere in room as well."

"Awesome cozy house in Arcata. This was one of our stops from our roadtrip up to Oregon from Los Angeles. After staying in cottages in Carmel and Mendocino it was nice to have the relaxing feeling of a house. Our dog enjoyed the yard a lot for roaming. Hope to return. Highly recommend if you are considering staying here."

"Parking was easy and I found everything simple to navigate. Good for solo travelers."
