"The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna."

"Melfort Village is terrific. Beautiful setting and marvellous accommodation. There is a pool, tennis court, putting green, restaurant /bar (great food)and lots of space. The staff are great, enthusiastic and helpful.Walks in the nearby hills or to the lochs. The Village is well placed for access to the magnificent nearby scenery (but do not follow the receptionist recommendation as to how to get to the falls - the road is a nightmare and there is a longer but better way!). "Sadly we only had a very short 1 evening stay at this beautiful location. We would have enjoyed more time here. In that short time we received above and beyond care. I asked where we might be able to find ice when checking in. The nearest market was already closed for the evening. Olwen from reception was so nice. She said she couldn’t promise, but her husband might be able to help. An hour or so later her husband knocked on the door with our special delivery. So incredibly kind. Thank you...
