Folly Beachhouse.

House was extremely well located, with a potential view and access that were worth the premium that we paid. However, upon our arrival, there were four bulldozers, numerous pipes, construction fencing, a construction toilet and two large construction light fixtures all engaged in a 24/7 beach renourishment project. Needless to say, we did not end up with the view and access we anticipated. More troubling was the nonstop construction noise, highlighted by the beeping of the bulldozers going in reverse. There wasn’t one night without some level of noise. The renourishment work was clearly beneficial, but did not make for a restful stay. When we contacted the property management company, they offered to furnish noise machines to drown out the construction noise - well intended, but a bit ridiculous. After reaching out the third time, the management company ultimately made an initial offer of refunding one night’s rent of our nine night stay, adding that if the noise continued, they would revisit that concession. The noise continued. I contacted them again, and they offered no further discount, but a late checkout instead, again a thin gesture. What is by far most troubling was the nondisclosure of these conditions. Had we known, we certainly would have chosen another VRBO property in Folly, just not on the beach. I asked the property management company about that particular issue multiple times, and each time the question went unanswered. Overall, a disappointment.

Wonderful Home

This house is spectacular. From the moment you walk in you have an amazing view of the ocean. We loved opening the doors from the den and the ocean was right there. The sound of the waves was ever present. The house itself is very accommodating. The four bedrooms and four bathrooms were more than enough for our family of five. The den was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved this house and we would definitey stay here again.

Great reunion at Folly.

House was fantastic for all 10 of us. Post around parking lot are not visible when backing onto property. Grill was not clean. Rooms were clean and comfortable and view was fantastic! Kitchen is fully equipt . Thanks

Exceeded expectations beyond imagination! Property and property management off the charts! House was absolutely perfect for our 8 adults, and 1 yr old infant. Recently refurbished, every amenity ideal, and interior tastefully decorated! Outdoor seating & views for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails…. Memorable! Beach is literally 50 yards max from the back door, bringing back my favorite memories of a true “beach vacation!”First time back to East coast beach house experience in 30 years, and first time to Folly beach! Wow, best kept secret in my 59 years! We’ll be back to this house same time next year! Cheers, Gampy

Sea La Vie - C'est manifique!

Our stay at the "Sea La Vie" Beach House on Folly Beach was fantastic. The property is well maintained with four well sized bedrooms, four newly renovated luxury bathrooms, and a gourmet kitchen. The location of this property actually on the beach, with it's own private beach access, facing South (beautiful Sunrises and Sunsets every day), and ample outdoor living spaces with two outdoor beach showers and lots of comfortable outdoor seating. Also, the hosts were super friendly, easy to communicate with, and provided all those little items such as coffee, hand soap, laundry detergent, dish soap, towels, etc., that made the stay so much easier from the start. We are already planning our next trip to visit this wonderful property in the not too distant future!

Great spot on Folly Beach

We rented this home for a long weekend with old friends. The house was perfect for our group. Four comfortable bedrooms, three with en-suite bathrooms and one with an adjacent full bath in the hallway. Linens and towels were good quality. Bathrooms all seemed recently updated with nice tile work etc. the furniture was generally in good shape. Really nice Adirondack chairs for viewing the sunrise and set. Could possibly use an umbrella or two as the porch is in direct sunlight and gets hot in the afternoon. You can’t beat the location - literally a couple steps and you’re on the beach. About a mile walk (or 5 minute drive) into “downtown” Folly Beach with plenty of cute dining options and shops. Kitchen was well stocked with pots pans dishes etc for us to be able to cook in a couple nights. The vent hood over the stove didn’t work but it seemed likely a circuit breaker had probably flipped somewhere. I’ve read some of the reviews that said the floors weren’t clean. Keep in mind you are right on the beach and it is virtually impossible to keep sand out of the house. We didn’t even have any children in our group and still things get gritty. There are a couple brooms for mid stay sweep ups if you’re inclined but this is simply a fact of being right on the beach. All in all a great stay, would recommend and would stay again.

Great house on quiet end of Folly!

Great Trip! Nice house. Didn't cook there so kitchen set up didn't apply. Everything was clean. Floors could stand a little more attention, but overall great!

Fantastic Property

My extended family and I throughly enjoyed our stay - a perfect pandemic break. The house is perfectly appointed with a bathroom for each room, a fantastic kitchen and living area and decks for outside enjoyment. You definitely pay for what you get - a bit on the expensive side. For a house we paid so much for, a couple of small things need attention: Rotting boards around the outdoor shower, foot wash nozzle nearly rusted shut, and for the extra points I'd like hot running water in the outdoor shower - something I've seen at many beach houses which makes a nice soapy shower after an ocean swim so luxurious. I say these things because I hope to stay there again and would be so happy if they were addressed. Great vacation overall!

Escape from Stress- Folly Beach SC

One of the most amazing vacation escapes we have ever experienced (not sure if was due to COVID 19 isolation induced) but well worth the investment. The location is excellent with direct access to the beach. The house was immaculate and well-furnished, noting the upgrades of the stove and living room furniture. The house was everything an extended Family could ask for on vacation and provided immeasurable joy to the young children and the Senior citizens. The complimentary beach chairs were and added treat. The bedrooms were spacious and the kitchen and eating areas were ample to host eight people. The proximity and ease of access to a wonderful beach was and added bonus. If you are looking for an escape - this the place!

Isabelle was amazing with making sure we were accommodated with everything we needed. The house was beautiful and smack dab on the beach. Awesome deck to sit and enjoy the sounds of the ocean. Awesome wolf appliances and plenty of room for our party of 7. We will definitely be back. Thank you for everything.

Amazing Beach house!

The property is extremely well layed out and has one of the best open living areas with large windows to enjoy a great view of Folly Beach. The porch is great without obstructing views and thankfully there is a good placement for the sand shower. The house itself is well appointed, great beach aesthetic with modern and Parisian touches. Our only complaints were the lack of Beach towels/beach chairs accessible by guests. The beach towels is noted as not available further in the amenities section, but this is a no brainer...in fact who ever stays here next should have access to 4 very nice large beach towels that we had to purchase and leave due to luggage space issues. A minor issue was the lack of Paper towels in the cottage, we had a very attentive management company but unfortunately the cleaning staff dropped off toilet paper alas. Otherwise a fantastic trip and would come back here again!

Fantastic Weekend at the Beach

Some girlfriends and I rented the house for a weekend September 9-11. The location of the house is perfect! It's about a mile and a half from the pier which means it's a bit quieter and the house had plenty of parking. The views of the beach from the house were absolutely stunning. And the back porch facing the beach was out of this world. The porch was very large with 6 Adirondack chairs, two lounge chairs, and two picnic tables under an awning that provides shade. There was also a shower head and foot shower on the deck which was incredibly nice to have! The deck alone really makes the house. But the inside of the house is beautifully decorated and the owners really paid attention to the best features of the house--the porches and views and provided ample seating/areas to lounge in to enjoy both. We had 9 people staying so we used every bedroom plus the two futon couches that pulled out into comfortable futon beds. Every bedroom and bathroom was nice and clean. We had a really good stay and many of my friends said they would be recommending the house to family when they come visit as a place the should stay while in town. Luxury Simplified was also great to work with. They were easy to get a hold of and gave me all the info I needed for my stay. The only reason that I didn't give the house 5 stars is because some of the door knobs were broken in the house as well as a few other things. It was nothing that ended up being a big deal at all, but the house needs a few quick fixes here and there. It is nothing that would prevent me from recommending the house to family and friends, which I have done already, or staying again. Great place!!

Great house! Simply perfect!

This is a great house to stay at!. Well designed and perfectly equipped. The property management team, Luxury Simplified, certainly lived up to their name. The house was immaculate when we entered. The luxury sheets and down comforters were plush as could be, and we had more pillows than we could use. Unexpected guests generated a need for more towels and they arrived within a few hours of a phone call to Luke. The house was comfortable with 4 bedrooms, all with access to the HUGE wrap around porch. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with both a conventional and a large Keurig coffeemaker. When it came time for Low Country Boil, finding a 10 gallon pot in the kitchen was no problem. Closeness to the beach was a real plus. I can't say enough about how well the property managers, Luxury Simplified, handled this booking. They greeted us at the door upon arrival, handled the only request, the extra towels, quickly, called to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction, and just did a fabulous job! A great stay! Thanks Luke, Sabrena and Sophie! You were spectacular and made the vacation extra special. Jeff Sasko
