Staff really friendly and we ate there in the evening and although it was fully booked they found us a table. Plenty of choice on menu and they had gluten free options which was great for us. "Hotel was in an ideal spot for being within walking distance to city centre but not to close. Staff from reception to bar staff were excellent,room was clean and comfortable nice choice for breakfast. Very nice stay"

"The room was big and spacious, the bed was firm and i slept really well. I was trying to see what mattress was used so i could buy one. I was attending a wedding in the local area was was ideal. The view from my room was a pitch behind the hotel and i heard cheering l looked out of the window and saw alot of naked men running around the pitch with a crowd, im assuming some sort of charity thing, but it made me laugh. The only down sides was the hairdryer didnt work, after a few minutes it...

"The room is well renovated and everything works, mainly the shower. The breakfast is excelent, but expensive. There are some work in progress on the square in front of the reception, with the street interrupted, so the taxis and ubers sometimes don’t come to the right place. But it is a good location anyway to walk to the nice city centre of the (former) “steel city”, already converted to pedestrian streets. There was a fire alarm once in an ungodly hour, with everybody using the stairs to go...

"What a great hotel. Can't say enough positive things about my experience. Room was lovely, clean, good value, great location and ambience, but the service and food were even better. I had early starts both mornings of my stay and it was not too much bother for Helen on the front desk and Paul?, the chef to open the kitchen slightly early for me. The food was wonderful and good value and Helen couldn't have been more helpful. This is what an independent hotel / restaurant should be like. Thanks...
