I was traveling by car and had a specific museum that I wanted to visit in Vienna, but I didn't want to stay in Vienna (too expensive). Eisenstadt looked like an easy commute in Vienna and it was. The apartment was great. It was 5 times larger than the one I stayed in the night before. It is the whole upper floor. Great bathroom with very nice, roomy shower. Great kitchen with everything. Large bedroom and even a living room. Eisenstadt is a very nice, little city. It is the city of Joseph Hayden who was sponsored by the Esterhazy family. The apartment is just down the street from the Schloss Esterhazy by 5 buildings. I parked in the Schloss underground parking - very convenient. The restaurant right across from the Schloss (Henrici's) is very good and I had schnitzel and beer. As a bit of luck, when I came back from my museum and had dinner, I noticed people going into the Schloss Esterhazy for the concert. It is in the very hall that Hayden played in during the 1700s. Great acoustics. Great string orchestra. Ulla is a very good and responsive host.
