Whimsical Retreat

This was my first stop on my journey, and due to the excellent directions I was able to quickly orient myself to the city. I purposefully wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. From the welcoming red front door, cozy amenities, and little touches of welcome, I absolutely loved this whimsical sweet apartment. The owner was very prompt at answering my questions, provided excellent instructions, and went above and beyond helping me find a special personal souvenir.

Un guide trĆØs dĆ©taillĆ© Ć©tait disponible sur place et a rĆ©pondu Ć  nos questions. Il y a tout le nĆ©cessaire disponible sur place (pour la cuisine, lessive, salle de bains etc). Susan est une hĆ“te attentionnĆ©e et rĆ©active par message. L'arrĆŖt de bus juste devant le logement nous a permis de nous rendre facilement en ville pour visiter.Nous recommandons Ć  100% ce logement !

All the comforts of home

Susan has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable from the comfy bed to the cozy towels and welcome shortbread, you wonā€™t miss home. This flat has easy access to the city centre with bus access steps from your secure entry way and free on street parking at your door. It was everything we needed during our stay in Edinburgh.

Great place to stay, great host

This was a great stay. Would be happy to recommend. Only slight negative is that this place isnā€™t walking distance to downtown. That said, itā€™s a short bus ride or uber. The host was wonderful to deal with. Place was spotless upon arrival. There was a guest book with tons of info on local spots. Any questions we had were answered nearly immediately and many things were thought of in advance. Iā€™d be happy to stay here again.

Dit is de perfecte uitvalsbasis voor een tripje in Edinburgh. Het is een klein, maar fijn appartementje met een bus die voor de deur stopt waardoor je met ongeveer 15 minuten in het centrum staat. Aan de overkant is ook een kleine supermarkt met alle basics. Susan was zeer vriendelijk en vlot in de communicatie. Absoluut een aanrader!

Lovely place, great location

Lovely flat hosted by a very nice lady who kept us well informed. Nice and clean with plenty of space for the two of us. Situated a quick 10 minute bus journey into the centre of Edinburgh and opposite a well stocked Co-op.

Comfortable convenient clean

From check in to check out everything was perfect. The host communicated with us and her instructions for checking in and out were easy to follow. The apartment is right on the city bus route, has a CO OP and bakery across the street. W parked our car on the street for free and took a break from driving for two days while we explored Edinburgh. The apartment is clean, well supplied and comfortable. Highly recommend this property.

The property located in a great location to public transportation with a store just across the street. The owner went above and beyond supplying the place with everything you may possibly need and it was well maintained. She even gave all the information needed to navigate the city! We much enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The living room and bedroom were well furnished, the kitchen was well equipped, and the bathroom was clean and fully functional. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance of the downtown and Leith. We would definitely stay again.

Absolutely Fantastic VRBO Experience

Everything was perfect. From the booking details to fact that the bus stops literally in front of the unitā€¦everything was amazing. Susan had so many nice touches set up in the apartment. The bed was wonderful. We were totally delighted by this experience which was the first stop of many on the way through Europe. Highly recommend.

Home away from home

We had a lovely time in Susan's appartment. She sent us elaborate check in information. So it was easy for us to enter the appartment. The location is a 35 min walk out of the city centre (which was no problem for us since we love walking) but there is a busstop right in front of the appartment as well for those who cannot or do not want to walk into town. The kitchen is fully equiped and the cupboards were stocked and we could use that. The only comment we have, is that the upstairs neighbours were a bit loud and noisy late in the evening and during the night. All in all we loved staying in the appartment and felt really at home.

Improving it is impossible

The apartment was completely prepared to live in, clean, tidy and confortable We really felt like home. Susan, the host, has been incredibly attentive. The apartment is full of tips to enjoy it and info to move into Edinburgh. There is a bus stop just in front. The only bad reference I can say is that... no improvement can be made!!!!
