"Stayed at Walton Lodge as a stop-off to visit Hampton Court Palace. Fabulous location - we were blessed with the hottest day of the year so far (April’26) which allowed us to sit out and appreciate the river views in the evening. Rooms were clean ours was a bit hot but a fan was included. Chatted to a fellow resident and agree that the place needs some TLC however would stay again if visiting this part of London Town."

"We stayed at Thatcher’s Hotel (part of Surya Hotels) for three nights during half term. Overall, it’s an average hotel but offers good value for money. The rooms have been renovated and are modern and comfortable, and the beds were very comfortable which we appreciated. However, there were a few downsides. "I loved this place. When I go to England, I enjoy these smaller, transformed hotels much more than bigger ones and Hand and Spear has been the best. The room I got was spacious with ample wardrobe space and beautiful decor. The bath was insane with a beautiful claw foot tub. I’m very self-sufficient when I travel so I don’t expect a room made up each day but I’m sure they would accommodate you and they quickly brought extra towels when I asked. The thing is…my room had food and a little fridge...
