Gulf front living at its best! The Sundestin resort is located in the heart of Destin directly on one of America’s finest beaches! The resort has everything you’ll ever need! There are two pools; one gulf front with plenty of space for sunbathing, the other pool is indoors (heated seasonally) where you find indoor hot tubs as well! There is even a full fitness facility, stream room and a spa offering massage therapy! Enjoy a nice cookout at one of the community gas grills.

The room itself features an open floor plan with tile flooring throughout the living room, dining room and kitchen. The master suite features a large king sized bed, while the living room boasts a cozy sofa which converts into a queen sleeper. Enjoy spectacular views from your private balcony or go relax with your toes in the sand while enjoying these wonderful accommodations SunDestin 905 has to offer!

Ninth Floor:

All One Level: Living Room with Queen Sleeper Sofa and Balcony Access, Kitchen, Dining, King Bedroom with Tub/Shower Combo, Powder Room.

Rates reflect a discount for ongoing construction through Spring 2026. The heated pool and on-site restaurant are now open. The former indoor pool is currently operating as an open-air pool while the structure is being rebuilt. Available amenities include the outdoor pool, open-air pool, outdoor hot tub, on-site restaurant (now operating as Joe Schmo’s Bar and Grill), and the Sea Store. The indoor hot tub and splashpad are currently unavailable.

*Laundry is communal and coin operated.

*Based on the daily temperature and at the HOA's discretion, the community pool is seasonally heated.

*Note – This property may have date restrictions that apply. All reservations submitted online are a request until receiving an email confirmation from Ocean Reef Resorts. Good location, needs some updating

The condo has great views of the Gulf and that's the positive comment. It definitely needs some updating in the bathroom. The showerhead is positioned pretty low which was tough for my 6-1 husband. The AC unit is on the porch which is VERY LOUD and distracting when you're on the patio enjoying the view. We didn't use anything in the kitchen during our short stay but seemed clean. There are 4 elevators so we didn't have to wait for service to the 9th floor. The splashpad is tired and needs an overhaul. This was our third and final stay at this location (not lways this unit). It's time to move on......

The good/The bad/The ??'s

The good: The ocean view was spectacular. The not-so-good: The unit itself is outdated. Obviously an income generator only. But it was clean. The confusing part is that the Resort owns some units & some are privately owned. So there are some issues that can be addressed & some that cannot. For example, when we arrived we found one of the dining chairs was broken - - we reported it & they came & fixed it (YAY) but when we needed an extra blanket they could not accommodate us without 24 hour notice (??) Only 3 out if the 4 elevators were working which made getting to our unit upon arrival difficult & long - - and when checking out we waited 17 minutes just to get an elevator. Maybe the resort could stagger check-in & check-out times to avoid some inefficiencies, high demands on elevators/luggage carts & long waits. Also the outdoor pool was closed. And, of course, the noise of construction beginning at 9am took a little away from the peaceful enjoyment we were hoping for. We were not notified that construction was occurring when we booked our reservations. Parking was full - - some had to park across the street - - and it's a BUSY street to try to cross. More luggage carts would be beneficial.

Exactly what we wanted

This was our first VRBO experience and we will definitely be back. Great place to stay that’s right on the beach and won’t break the bank. Beautiful view of the water.

The condo is very nice and great that it's right on the beach. The living room and dinning furniture are a bit worn out. But it is serviceable. Our weather was horrible and cold.

We had a great experience while we was there. The only complaint was that my son and his girlfriend came to stay and they was on the paperwork and even though they was on our stay we called to order extra pillows and blankets cause they was left none for the sofa couch through Ocean Reef Rentals and when we called it took them over 24 hours to bring them blankets and pillows. They was actually leaving the morning that the cover and pillows was brought so my son was cold and uncomfortable the whole stay he was there.

Nice Condo

The location was convenient & resort was nice. The condo itself could use some updating & the sliding door going to the balcony was very hard to open/close. The resort does not allow you to use personal umbrellas but they will gladly rent one to you for $50 day so make sure you pack a beach tent.

Renting company has no sympathy

Had a death in family, had to pay for my family members funeral. I called to see if we could cancel to due to conditions of financial situation. They said no, if I didn’t go I’d lose my weeks worth of vacation that I paid for. They wouldn’t even push it back for the next year for me. Automatic no. Hung up on me. Went down there for 3 out of the 7 days to try to use it. Had to leave early and lose more than half of my vacation due to them not wanting to help a paying customer. Worst rental company ever. Don’t book again.

I really like the location of this building, plus the pools and hot tub. I felt the condo itself was outdated. The balcony door was hard to open and close. There wasn’t enough toilet paper. The tv didn’t work. I didn’t like the balcony furniture.

Great Location and a bit dirty.

The location was nice, great access to a lot around Destin and beautiful beach view. It could use some updated or at least a deep deep cleaning. Very dusty, very dirty baseboard, bedroom felt cluttered and very dusty! We vacuumed once we arrived to help alleviate some of the dust and dirt. All in all we made best of it and enjoyed our view and surroundings.

Needs updates and deep cleaned.

The condo does has a lot of potential. It severely needs to be updated. The carpet is old and dingy. It needs a deep cleaning & some painting. The TVs are ancient and tiny. The fan in the closet was absolutely disgusting. We went and bought a new one. To be such a big rental company, you would think the place would be better taken care of.

Great Condo

My boyfriend, my kids, and I had a great time at this condo. Overall, the experience was great. The pools were a nice break from the beach for the kids and the hot tub was nice to warm up (April weather isn’t as warm as the summer). The hot tub lining/material in it was very rough though! Not this condo owners fault, but it hurt to sit on and left marks on your butt from being so “rocky”. The condo itself (the room) was perfect for us. The TVs were SO HARD to operate, we had to call in maintenance to help so the kids could watch tv at night and while we went to the room to eat. The room came with a few bath towels and washcloths and 2 rolls of toilet paper so that was a good start. The basic cooking utensils and dishes were there as well. I wish they had more beach items there so we didn’t have to buy the bigger items that weren’t able to be transported to and from via airplane (donated them when we left)…like beach chairs, floating devices (tubes, rafts, etc), and beach digging tools (bucket/shovels). That would have been really nice and I think you should really invest. It’s not expensive to keep those items in the condo/room as a condo owner. Also, other condos I have stayed at before “owned” the beach chairs/umbrellas outside (usually a set…2 chairs and the attached umbrella); however, we had to pay to rent these daily. It’s a little expensive and inconvenient given my past experiences had them already covered (cost) in the rental itself (of the condo). That or at least keep a couple beach chairs in the condo/room for guests to use and bring back to the room. Lastly, be prepared to lift the lid of the back of the toilet every time you use the toilet. The fill valve thing doesn’t auto fill; it’s going out. We had to press it down every time to get the toilet to refill so we could flush. Overall, the condo was great but could use a little extra touch for those traveling via airplane (have some beach stuff in the condo).

A great getaway

We loved our stay! The location was great, the condo was comfortable and very clean upon arrival. The front desk was very nice and easy to work with upon check in, and available if we needed them during the week. We were so pleased .
