Very Peaceful & Beautiful Sunsets
Gorgeous place in a quiet peaceful setting!! Beautiful sunsets and a large wonderful deck! Tammy was very communicative and helpful! We plan on returning next year!

Great Vacation
We had such a wonderful time at this rental. The place is so well supplied - toiletries, soap, linens, pillows, spices, kitchen gadgets and dishes, games, movies, etc. just amazing. Beds were comfortable. We ran into a few dishes not well cleaned but that's on other renters, not the owner. Sunsets are incredible! We caught fish every time we ventured out on the lake. We saw deer, eagles, otters, & rabbits. The kayaks and paddleboat are such a plus! The owner communicated well and responded quickly to each question. We would not hesitate to return. Thank you Tammy, for sharing this property - we loved the memories we made!

Great house with great views
Just an overall great experience at this lake house. The house was clean, everything worked, fully stocked with towels, bug spray and has a washer and dryer on site! My family had a great time on the lake, and Tammy was very quick with responses for any questions we had. Highly recommend staying here!

Annual Lake Vacation
My husband and I have been doing this annual lake vacation for three years with my best friend and her 3 kids. Its a time for us to reconnect, relax and have fun. We really enjoyed staying at Tammy's house on Sugar lake. It offered us beautiful sunsets, great fishing and fun times exploring the lake on the pontoon and kayaks! We brought our dogs along and they just loved it! They were able to explore the yard, splash in the water and nap in the sunshine. I highly recommend staying at her place, she takes great care of it, is very responsive when you have questions and overall it offers any family or group of friends a great place to hang out!

Thank you Jenny for the great review. So glad you all enjoyed! I had a bunch of friends out this weekend that had never been here and yeah, they said it was an amazing place. Great sunsets never got out fishing but it was a beautiful couple days.

Relaxing seclusion
We had a very nice time here. It was quiet and relaxing. For anglers it is a must to rent the pantoon. The lake is full of fish. There is a lot of games in the house and you enjoy staying outside too. All and all we had a great time.

Wonderful lake vacation
We loved staying here. The house was clean and orderly and the kitchen was well-equipped. We had breakfast on the deck and watched the sun rise on the lake. Our dogs loved running through the wooded areas and they had new experiences with boat rides on a pedal boat. They have two kayaks that we used every day. The Mesabi Trail is close and we biked it two days.

Cabin week 2022
We had a great week at this property!! It is very secluded and the yard is much bigger than pictures show! We set up a Croquet course on one side and played bags on the other still had plenty of room for yard chairs! The house itself is very comfortable and fully stocked with all you need! We enjoyed numerous pontoon rides and we rented and brought a jet ski ...lake is pretty quiet especially during the week so it was nice to have the space to play around and not worry about traffic on the lake! My parents are in their 70's so to have a one level house was very ideal! And the lake level to pontoon ( just a few steps) is also very nice! Great sandy beach area for kids ours are teens so did not use but remember times when they would have loved that!! They have a good variety of games to play during rainy times and beautiful view of lake from front living room if you are stuck in the house. Tammy was always available to me within minutes of texting!! Highly recommend doing Walmart pick up as she has in her options, was soooo nice to walk into the cabin fully stocked with our stuff!! I asked for a recommendation for a dinner night out and she said The Pickled Loon......it was sooooo good!!! Highly recommend also! Beautiful sunsets and just an overall 5 star experience!! Perfect quiet lake escape
Our family (me and husband, our 5 and almost 2 year old, husband’s parents and sister) wanted a relaxing get away; this fit the bill perfectly. The property matched the description very well with so many thoughtful extras and nicely stocked with pretty much everything you need. We had one issue early on with water pressure in the showers, and Tammy responded really quickly and had it sorted out within hours. The little beach area is nice and sandy, great for swimming. The paddle boat and kayaks were fun to have on hand as well. We were pleasantly pretty much bug free until the next to last day right after it rained as well. The cabin itself is quite remote so perfect since we wanted something very quiet and private, but the road in is a very long dirt road and quite a ways from town so best to not plan for frequent quick trips to town. All in all great, cozy, and private lake cabin exactly as described with a thoughtful and responsive host.

Family Lake Vacation
The Sugar Lake property was really lovely for our family vacation. We had plenty of room inside and outside for playing and relaxing. Our host was so kind in making room for us to bring our own boat and in communicating with us when needed. Thanks for a lovely location for us to enjoy a get away and to enjoy some family time.

Wonderful 2 weelk vacation
Private and secluded area and lake with a comfortable house that has everything you need - just like home! Fishing was great, which added to the pleasure, and the weather cooperative! It was a great 2 weeks to relax and catch up with family!

Secluded lake home
This was very off the beaten path. Would recommend bringing a chain saw. There were a couple of trees down across the private dirt road that leads to the cabin that we had to deal with. It was very windy during our stay though. The house was very well appointed. They had everything you would need and more. Great fishing too!

Secluded Getaway
We spent two weeks at this lovely house enjoying the fall leaves and beautiful sunsets. We made use of the grill, the screened-in tent, the kayaks and paddle boat. Great central location for State Parks and biking the Mesabi Trail.

Family vacation
Our family had a lot of fun relaxing by the lake, taking the kayaks out, paddleboat and fishing. We weren't really able to swim because it was a little weedy but all of the other stuff made up for it. Tammy was very accessible and easy to work with. We caught lots of Northerns and bass. The lake did not have a lot of boat traffic, which we enjoyed. It was a great place to stay!

The Best Vacation Yet!
Our vacation/mini family reunion was perfect! The house is gorgeous with everything you could want or need. The lake beautiful and quiet with very cooperative fish! The location is secluded and quiet. Tammy and her husband are cordial and great hosts who thought of everything and came to the rescue when the pontoon wouldn't start - which was operator error, not a machine issue. Definitely a 5 Star location!

Comforts of home w added privacy
Such a peaceful area, very private! Tammy provided all the comforts of home to include a very clean and welcoming environment. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely like to stay here again! Most days were spent outdoors enjoying the beauty of the lake, walking through the woods, visiting Schoolcraft State Park, and golfing at Pokegama golf course. Very peaceful vacation! Thank you Tammy for opening your lake home for rent.

Spot on discription
Too many times the place described is not what you get, but this was spot on. Everything was in good condition in the house and the property was clean. the only negative which the owners could do nothing about was flies. Part of the territory, strange they lasted after a night frost. If you want a great up north experience try this one out.

Thanks jim for the review. The mosquitos and flys have been the worst ever. I was in my gardens at home today with the wind blowing 20 miles an hour And got chowed. 😞Mother Nature has not been kind.

Week Up North
Our family spent a week at this nicely equipped Lake Home. Very clean and stocked (spices, condiments, toiletries) all included. Sugar Lk is a nice size lake, not too big nor small. With adult children that have grown up with technology always no fast speed internet, was a draw back but for us old folks, not having t.v or internet ( listened to the radio ) was very relaxing.

Serenity at its best
Wonderful floor plan for two couples sharing as was our situation, but would be awesome for families as well. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful view. Good fishing on Sugar Lake. As description says, very remote - but not too far to take a run into Remer. Tammy was very quick to respond to our questions. It rained most days that we were there so between fishing during the rain breaks we enjoyed playing bridge during the downpours. (I understand this much rain was unusual).

Tranquility
We had such a nice week. The weather was perfect! It is such a quiet, private setting. There was only a handful of cabins on this side of the lake. We watched otters, bald eagles, deer, pelicans, geese, and hummingbirds. The pontoon was clean and worked great to explore the lake. The owner was very responsive to my questions, although the cell coverage was weak. We would love to stay here again.

Very nice, clean cabin
Very clean, well layed out cabin for family vacation. Owner was great with quick responses when needed. Wonderfully stocked with paper products, soap, hand sanitizer, etc. Wonderfully decorated. Only bad thing was the amount of mosquitoes! We had a great time and would definitely recommend this cabin!

Thank you Miranda for writing a review. Miranda and her family where great guests, the cabin was so clean I would have never thought 8 people stayed there fo a whole week. The mosquitos are horrible this year!!! Just bought 4 spartan mosquito eradictor hoping they will help!
