Peaceful Real Log Cabin Rushing Trout Stream Brand New Jacuzzi Hot Tub

"Trout Retreat" is a real and authentic log cabin that, is located just fifteen minutes outside of Boone (just minutes from the Blue Ridge Pkwy) and is situated in a postcard like setting on 21 beautiful acres with nearly 1/2 mile of class A stocked trout stream that runs directly behind the cabin. The stream, Elk Creek, is rated as the second cleanest stream in all of NC. If you are looking for a streamside cabin you will not find a better location anywhere. there is abundant wildlife including trout, deer, turkey, fox, beavers, and birds.

BRAND NEW WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM!!

The Trout Retreat cabin sleeps up to four with a king bed, upstairs and a sleeper sofa downstairs, two full baths, and a full kitchen and includes all the utensils, linens, and towels necessary to make your stay comfortable. The cabin also has a large screened porch and a deck with a BRAND NEW 17 Jet hot tub that overlooks the stream and picnic tables where you can have a unique dining experience or simply sit and relax to the sights and sounds of the stream. The Hot Tub also has a PRIVACY lattice wall with romantic lighting . All BRAND new kitchen appliancesis also a gas fireplace to create a warm and cozy atmosphere on those cool mountain evenings. This cabin offers privacy although there is another smaller cabin on the property with easy access in a setting that is unique and picturesque. WEEKLY RENTALS AVAILABLE AT A DISCOUNTED RATE!!!!

There is also an additional cabin on this property that can be rented together or individually which makes this property ideal for anything from a honeymoon or romantic weekend, to a large family or multi family vacation. We had a great stay at this little cabin. It’s just off a small creek, which I think they call a river, that is stocked with trout. We didn’t fish but all the equipment was available for use if we wanted. There wasn’t any cel service so make sure you print out the directions on how to get there and how to get in before you get there. Once you’re there though the WiFi was great if you do need to make a call. There was a slight communication error on our dates but the owner was very responsive and made sure we were taken care of. We had a great experience

The cabin was clean, well stocked, and very nice. The stream right in the backyard was amazing. So peaceful and the screened in back porch was perfect for early morning coffee and listening to the water and nature.

We were so happy at Trout Retreat for our long weekend away from home. The cabin was just the right amount of space for the 2 of us and our 2 little dogs. The cabin was very well appointed… we cooked all our meals and except for packing our 2 good knives and a meat free cutting board, we found everything we needed. We used the hot tub several times a day, enjoyed the ambience of the electric fireplace, found the smart tv too smart for us. We slept well listening to Elk Creek, and spent hours reading on the porch and walking along the river enjoying the changing colors.It was just the re-set we needed.The cabin is well used, obviously loved, just a touch funky and decorated in ‘cabin theme’ to the max. It was a really fun change of pace.

The cabin was better than described. We absolutely loved everything. One of the best vacations we have had. The cabin, the grounds, the creek, the location was perfect. It had everything we needed We didn't use the fireplace, grill, or firepit as we traveled a lot around the area. We did use the hot tub and played in the creek. We would definitely recommend this cabin and would love to come back one day.

Wonderful ideal stay. Location on large wooded property. Yard and stream perfect for dog or kids to play. Cabin as described and pictured ... clean, comfortable and well appointed. Gas fireplace great. Large gas grill. Terrific.Property 7 miles from main road via narrow, windy road. I personally loved it in our sports car. 2nd on-property cabin well positioned and not intrusive. Will return!!

The property was well kept, beautiful setting. Stream ran behind with lots of rocks, making it calming, soothing .Inside cabin was cozy, well appointed, gas fireplace, hot tub. Large counter in kitchen made it easy to snack or fix meals. We really enjoed screened in porch. King size bed great! Our senior dog enjoyed the big yard.

Quaint little cabin . Perfect for a couple as the bedroom is a loft room not a separate private room. The cabin inside was very clean. The screened in porch needs some attention. It really needs a good power washing and a new screen door. The creek and setting of the cabin is picture perfect. Enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely stunningly perfect property, so clean and well-managed! This was the loveliest get-away in the woods and mountains. The cabin was exactly as described; it really exceeded my expectations. I recommend it highly! The property owner and manager were so responsive and helpful when we had the tiniest issue -- they really went over and above the call of duty to get the satellite/internet issue fixed in time for me to get signed in to work on a Monday morning! (And, oh, how I wish I hadn't needed to work while there, but if you gotta, you gotta -- and there's no way to work better than to do it surrounded by a bubbling creek and the sounds of nature.) The whole week was just fabulous! All of the appliances are new, I think - there were no problems with anything mechanical. Enjoy the kingfisher on the creek and the copious flocks of butterflies -- and the deer in the front yard most mornings. Not to mention the hummingbirds at the orange flowers just behind the back porch. Oh! The fireplace! What a treat! I can't build a fire to save my life; thank goodness I didn't have to do that. I love this cabin! Can't wait to go back!

Nice getaway for a couple. We needed peace and quiet and thats what we got. Cell service is terrible. It has wifi but most of the weekend it was out. We just gave our adult kids house phone number in case of emergency. We celebrated our 31st anniversary just relaxing and only going out for dinner. Very clean and easy check in.

Beautiful piece of property with a great view of the stream from the screened back porch. The road in front of the house had more traffic than we expected but wasn’t bad and we enjoyed being out in the mountains. The second cabin on the property is quite close and was great for us since we brought our parents. Gave us both privacy yet the convenience of being together when we wanted. Both cabins were furnished well and decorated cute. We did encounter an issue that was disappointing but the owner was so prompt to reply and manage the situation for which we were grateful. We would definitely stay there again.
