"Superior Double room was pretty good and spacious. Toilet seat (a replacement?) a little bit small for the pan😢 no semi skimmed milk sachets in the room, just full fat. Breakfast staff very pleasant but provisions not topped up quickly enough, always felt like you were taking the last of everything. Not much choice generally, for example of fruit, no grapes or oranges for example. One type of yoghurt. Frozen berries and tinned mandarin a bit on the basic side. One hot drink machine not enough...

"Our room was very unique with its lovely 4 poster bed and lovely free standing bath .Lovely fire place and comfy old chair beside it in our room so cozy..We had a fabulous stay food was exquisite and service was lovely ..Cocktails were delicious. Spar was really special especially the outside garden jacuzzi s and sauna. We both feel rejuvenated.Thankyou for a lovely stay."

"As always I was very open minded about staying here, thought it might be overly pretentious but I was very pleasantly surprised, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The grounds are very well taken care of, even in winter, the hotel is spotlessly clean and so are the rooms, which are nice and spacious. The restaurant was quite plain but the food is certainly not, I had the roast chicken as I said a Sunday night, it was well presented, beautifully cooked, and so much of it, I am gluten free and...

"The staff were welcoming and accommodated a midnight check-in with no issues. The hotel is warm and inviting with modern amenities and well presented especially with origins from the 15th century!! Excellent friendly service and perfect location, right on a main shopping and dining thoroughfare also within a few mins walk to the train station. Highly recommend! "
