Sandbar - Gulf View Beach House with Crows Nest, Right on the Beach

This spacious 3 bedroom Gulf of Mexico beach house has a great Gulf View location, located directly on the white, sandy Gulf of Mexico beach, just one house back from the water. In addition to the Gulf view, it even has a rooftop Crow's Nest for unsurpassed Dauphin Island views!

The home is comfortably-furnished, with new living room furniture and new flooring (2019). It has plenty of great Gulf views throughout the home's light, sunny interior. A sliding glass door leads to a Gulf-Side balcony with steps leading down directly onto the beach. All bedrooms have new, comfortable beds. As with all of our Dauphin Island homes, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. Everything you need for a great beach vacation is here. This house may be pet-friendly, with prior permission.

1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25Ā and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 10am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is pet-friendly with prior permission, only dogs, 2-Pet Maximum Limit - $100 pet fee per dog per stay applies.

Beach Getaway

With 2 pets and several elder adults, this was a great spot for a vacation. Access to the beach was awesome, and the house was perfect. Will definitely keep this on our list of places to stay in the future.

Great location and fantastic house!

We greatly enjoyed our time on the island. First time staying at the Sandbar. The house is in great shape and the master bed is awesome and super comfortable. The views from the crows nest are amazing and you can spend hours looking at the the pelicans diving for dinner from the decks. Even saw some dauphins. The weather was perfect.

The house was perfect location! Everything we needed was in the house including beach towels, games for the family and plenty of space. Cleanliness rated 3 star because the couches need to be replaced. They had a terrible order. Take out the couch issue and I would rate it 5 stars.

Last Blast Before School Starts

We loved the Sandbar! The accommodations were exactly what we had hoped for. There were plenty of linens and beach towels. The kitchen was stocked with plates, cups, silverware, cooking utensils, pots and pans. We grilled out one night and the grill was in good working condition. There was plenty of space for everyone. The porch and the crowā€™s nest were favorite places to hang out and enjoy the sea breeze as well as see some beautiful sunsets. We were literally 30 seconds from the beach which was not crowded at all when we went (end of July). My teens enjoyed fishing from the beach. I highly recommend to hit a grocery store before you get to the island. We ate at the Reel Deal and Pirates Pizza- both were great. Definitely need a car or golf cart to get to and from the property if you want to grab food or get supplies. We will definitely be coming back!

A Beautiful May Getaway!

This was our third visit back to the island, but first at this property. The kids (ages 5-15) have dubbed this house ā€œthe absolute coolestā€ because of the crowā€™s nest! We were 100% pleased with the quality of the house and our stay! The location was perfect, and the beach was so beautiful. We canā€™t wait to come and stay again!

Spring Break

This was our first time to Dauphin Island. The home and Island were great. We will be looking to stay again at The Sandbar unless we need bigger accommodations. The 4-star rating is for only a few minor things and should not be deal breakers.

We stayed in this home last year and again this past 2 weeks. The floors in at least 2 spots are sinking. The ice maker in the frig didnā€™t work. Some of the kitchen equipment needs replacing.The bedroom door didnā€™t stay closed. Otherwise the house is in a great location to the beach. Beach is awsome. Dogs are welcome. Beds are comfortable. Bring toilet paper dish soap,laundry soap , and ice.

A nice break from the ordinary

Overall enjoyed our stay. The deck was awesome. The swing a big plus. Location was really nice. I liked being close to Sunset Beach, such a great place on the bay side to walk.

Don't stay here. I want it all to myself

The entrance door does not lock properly. It might need some lock oil in the key hole. You need to giggle the key back and forth for a minute and maybe, it will lock.

Location value!

Good value for an excellent location. 2 houses back and short 3 min walk to beach! Kitchen well equipped. Master well appointed. 2nd and 3rd bedrooms require new mattress pads, linens, pillows and sheets. Ample seating but all (12) throw pillows require cleaning / replacement. Towels galore! 8 new beach towels, plenty of bath towels for our party of 7. Bring laundry detergent and dishwasher soap.. you'll use 'em. Definitely stop at Walmart in Mobile on your way in and stock up.. or you'll drive back 45 minutes on day 2. Ship & Shore is well stocked but it's Island pricing. Limited restaurant options and they're overwhelmed! Call days in advance for larger party reservations or wait 2hrs to be seated. Come prepared to kick back and relax, a very low key beach getaway.
