Perfect getaway
Very relaxing and peaceful!! Home and property were just as described. Host and owner very responsive to all our questions. Owner actually gave us some great alternate navigation routes which really helped. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for the perfect getaway to just relax and unwind.

Perfect cottage in Cashiers!
We had a great stay this property! The house is very nicely updated, well appointed, and immaculate. The location is great with the creek setting. Communication with the host was excellent.

A beautiful cottage along the creek
The home was lovely, comfortable, and clean! We loved the screened porch and ate dinner there every night. The fire pit by the creek was nice! Nice private outdoor space. There is a little road noise from the road above and the driveway is very steep! Approaching the cottage to turn right into the drive is a very sharp turn. We would definitely stay again!

The PERFECT place for our family getaway. We will be back.
The home was clean, comfortably furnished, kitchen stocked appropriately with utensils and cooking/cleaning supplies. The owner/property manager was very easy to reach and check in / check out was a breeze. No unreasonable check out requests from the host, unlike other properties we have rented. This home was laid out perfectly for our family. The creek and backyard space was absolutely perfect for our two large dogs to run, without worrying about them leaving the property. The outdoor space, particularly, was well-kept and offered a fun and safe space for our 2 year old son and our two dogs to run around and play. The screened-in elevated porch offered the perfect space for morning coffee, watching football, and eating meals outdoors when the weather was nice. The bathroom is nicely updated, spacious, and clean. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. We appreciated having a full size washer and dryer with laundry detergent available for us to use. We can’t wait to book another long weekend at this home.

Absolutely Perfect Weekend
Everything about our stay was amazing. The house and property is beautiful. Pam was very accommodating and able to fit us in for a short weekend get away. It was just what we needed! We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Excellent stay!
Excellent place to stay and relax! Customer service and communication was beyond exceptional. The cottage had everything needed and the drive to town is very short. Also not a far drive to get out in the national park/state parks for outdoor activities. 10/10 would stay here again.

Labor Day with the Pups
Our stay at the house over Labor Day weekend was fantastic. The communication, check in, and check out process were all smooth and easy. The house was extremely clean and welcoming. The fire pit by the water was a great place to end every night. Located a few minutes from Whiteside Brewing in Cashiers and close to several amazing hikes. The roughly 100yards of creek front yard was very nice for our dogs to play in everyday. We will definitely be back.

Cool in the mountains
The accommodations were more than I expected. Very well stocked home comfortable bed. If you are used to the mountains, it’s no big deal. If you’re a flatlander, it takes getting used to. The owners were very attentive anytime I contacted them. Loved getting out of the heat in Houston.

Porch Lovers Dream
Inside and out, we enjoyed our stay on the property. The open floor plan was perfect as we spent time preparing/enjoying meals, and the house was well stocked with necessities. Our pup enjoyed the run of yard alongside the creek. My personal favorite was the screened porch. We had no problems checking in, and check out was the easiest we’ve ever had. Communication was very effective as Pam reached out to check on us during our stay. We have no hesitation about staying here again.

This is a beautiful place!
The cabin was decorated very tastefully, color schemes work really well together. Ceiling beams and other wood accents,( like the wood accent wall) w arm it up. Most outstanding feature is the creek frontage, landscaping, and how well it was kept up. Enjoyed our stay, you can’t go wrong with this beautiful place.

Perfect getaway
What a great cabin! Our dogs loved running along the creek out back, and they enjoyed several nearby hiking trails with their people. The cabin is beautiful and has everything you might need. We will most definitely be back!

Beautiful home and great location
We really enjoyed our 9 days at this home. House is so clean, beautifully decorated with more than ample kitchen cookware, even coffee pods provided. My dog loved the yard and running along the creek. Very quiet and yet close to everything. Thank you Pam for checking on us during the stay as well. Very thoughtful. Great trout fishing all around the area

Perfect in Every Way
We stayed just 3 nights but wished it was longer. The renovations feel brand new and the craftsmanship and thoughtful design is excellent. Gleaming wood floors and shiplapped walls contributed to the cozy, rustic, yet clean and modern, style. New stainless appliances and a well equipped kitchen too. Gorgeous photographs taken by the owners of local waterfalls and forests adorn the walls. Just a few miles from Cashiers, the house still felt very private and secluded. It is beautifully sited on a wide stream with nice grass banks. This was best enjoyed by our time on the huge screened in porch which has big glass doors that open into the house. Wifi was flawless throughout our stay. Communication was excellent and the house was very well cared for. When I mentioned a very minor problem (one of the kitchen island light bulbs was out) the owner raced over and replaced it. It was clear that the owners work hard to ensure that their guests have a great experience. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful
The cottage is just like the photos, beautiful, nicely decorated, quality furniture, bedding, towels, etc. It was clean and has whatever amenity you may need. The owner has thought of everything and even had 2 stainless steel dog bowls, that looked like new, on a dog mat for our pet. The owner was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. This property is first class and I would definitely go back.

This home was beautiful and loved the outdoor space. My pups loved running the creek bank. Home was very clean and owner was very helpful. Internet went out and she jumped right on it and had it repaired immediately. Great communication. We will definitely stay here again.

Great getaway
Beautifully appointed, generously stocked kitchen and excellent appliances. Enjoyed having a screened in porch and gas grill. The seating by the creek and outdoor fire pit was a nice bonus. Close to shops and grocery. Property manager was exceptional and responsive when contacted.

Wonderful, Relaxing Rental in a Beautiful Setting
This house has become an absolute favorite & we plan to return in the future. We had absolutely everything we needed for a wonderful 8-day vacation. Aside from visiting the grocery store twice, we spent every minute at the house. The pictures are absolutely accurate, & don’t do the property justice. We got up each morning, opened the French doors to the screened in porch & enjoyed the “tree house” feel of the property. We saw a hawk, a blue heron, some crows bathing in the creek & used our Audubon bird ID app to detect several others that we didn’t see directly. I fished for fishing sake with two bites the whole week rather than fishing for fish (I could’ve easily gone to several close spots if I was serious about my fishing.) It was so relaxing. We used the fire pit three of the eight nights with roasted marshmallows during that third fire. I cannot say enough about this property. The king bed was quite comfortable even though we have some back issues. The power reclining couch was so relaxing. We used the gas logs on nights when there was a nip in the air. The smart TVs & Wi-Fi were great when you wanted technology, & the porch & creekside sitting area were great when you wanted to just be in the woods. The owner's checked in on us via email the second day to ensure we arrived & had everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans, bowls, etc. if you plan on cooking a lot like we did. We spent a wonderful 8 days in great mountain seclusion. Excellent rental!

Great family trip
I always worry about the cleanliness of "pet friendly" rentals but this one was exceptionally clean and well-kept. Love the outdoor spaces. The house is conveniently located to Lake Glenville and the town of Cashiers. We would rent again.

Incredible stay at amazing property
We couldn’t be happier with our stay here. Drinking coffee overlooking the gurgling creek every morning in the screened porch was the PERFECT way to start our day. Sometimes the pictures on rental properties are at least a little misleading…but, if anything, the hosts and this home were even better than we expected! Don’t hesitate to book this for your trip into the Cashiers/Highlands area. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Nice getaway between holidays
My wife and I visited the area for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was in a perfect location to easily drive to both Highlands and Cashiers. The house itself was well equipped, and we appreciated having bedding and towels provided for us. The creek behind the home was serene and we spent our mornings drinking coffee and gazing out from the covered porch. Thanks to the owner Pam for all her assistance prior to and during our trip.

Great Escape
Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. Very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. All the basics are provided and more. Towels for the dog, coffee for us, direct TV with the tennis channel a plus in the evenings. No AT&T phone reception another plus!! When not out hiking in this beautiful area we spent our time on the screened deck where my wife set up her little art studio at one end and I had my reading and beer nook at the other. The cottage is located on a quiet road between Cashiers and High Falls Trail and is ideal for a quiet relaxing time. The General Store on Norton Rd is worth a visit if only for the delicious ice cream. We will definitely be back.

Great view and wonderful porch!
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was so cute and the furniture was very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch. Our only disappointment was that we thought we would be able to get in the water but we found a waterfall close by that we were able to swim in.

Unfortunately, we can't control mother nature and with the rainfall we had the week before you the creek was very high still while you were there. That however makes for good trout fishing. Hope you decide to return and the creek is lower. Glad you made the best of it and found the waterfall close by. So many great adventures and memories. Pam

Adorable cottage by the creek
We were so pleased upon entering this beautifully renovated cottage. It was immaculate, thoughtfully updated and perfectly appointed for our small family. The furniture and beds were comfortable and it was a little luxury having all linens provided and beds already made for our week's stay. So many little extras are thought of - cozy throws, coffee pods, paper towels, detergents, trash bags, doggie towels, pet waste bags with a disposal can on the lawn. The screened porch overlooking the creek was lovely. We spent a lot of time there watching the water rippling by. We saw a beautiful buck run through the creek one brisk morning and our son even caught a brown trout our first day. Exploration of the creek was a big source of entertainment for him. The location of the home makes it convenient to nearby Lake Glenville, Cashiers, Highlands, hiking, golfing, dining. We took advantage of it all. It was a wonderful getaway for us and we would recommend this sweet home. There are a couple of things to note. The road traffic. There is a lot of building taking place around the area and it seems Norton Road is a major thoroughfare for work trucks. Big, loud work trucks. The traffic noise does diminish in the evening but it starts early. It is a shame as it does affect the peacefulness of sitting creekside or relaxing on the porch. The porch furniture. The porch experience could be made better with more lounge type furniture. A couple of the existing swivel chairs were compromised and they just weren't comfortable for long. Perhaps an outdoor sofa and chairs could lead to an afternoon nap or really relishing a good book on the porch. Clearly, relaxation was my number one goal during our week in the cool mountain air! Overall, we felt lucky, we felt at home and we had a great stay. A lot of thought has gone into making this little cottage cozy, clean, charming and memorable. And the memories will last us a lifetime. Thanks, Pam!

Jennifer, Thanks for the review and I've never had anyone say they "felt lucky" . So glad that you also felt at home and had a great stay. I'm going to look into adding more lounge type furniture for the porch as we have been mindful not to make it feel too crowded. So glad your son caught a brown trout. Yes they are repaving Norton road and it is scheduled to be finished by Fall so hopefully if you come back it will be finished......again thanks..pam

Relaxing, beautiful cottage!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautifully decorated cottage on Norton Creek. From the moment we walked in, we knew we had picked the right home for our vacation. It was so clean, comfortable and cozy. We loved all of the modern touches (updated kitchen, wooden beams on the ceiling, beautiful wooden floors, super cool light fixtures), yet the home was warm and welcoming with blankets to curl up with and a gas fireplace on chilly nights. In addition, the beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked - we cooked dinner several nights. What we enjoyed the most though was the screened in porch and expansive lawn that runs along the gorgeous little creek. We spent our mornings and evenings watching our 10 yr old son fish…he didn’t catch anything, but he sure had fun trying. I enjoyed reading on the screened in porch and we ate all of our meals outside - the weather was incredible! Lastly, Pam was just the nicest, friendliest owner we’ve ever come across. She quickly responded to all of my many questions. We ran into some trouble with our flights and ended up driving last minute. Pam was so understanding and accommodating. She was wonderful to work with and you could tell she really wanted to help make our trip special. This was our first trip to Cashiers and we would highly recommend this area and this gorgeous home to anyone looking to escape the city and heat or just get out into nature! This vacation was just what our family needed!

June stay
Super clean. Nicely done. Great place to hang out on the porch or by the creek. Our 2 bulldogs loved running the length of the grassy area. Quick responses for questions and checked on us to make sure all was good. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Beautiful Cottage!
My husband and I needed a property that wasn't too large and was pet friendly. Well we found it! It's perfect for 2-4 guests and our dog, Cali loved it. The cottage was spotless, well equipped, and so comfortable. Private property with lovely views from the deck, where we had breakfast everyday. Cashiers just down the mountain, great markets, restaurants, and activities nearby. We also went into Highlands for dinner, shopping, and hiking. Pam was very responsive when we had a question. Highy recommend! P.S. Just as a note to be aware of...we have AT&T and were unable to make phone calls, also internet was very spotty. But honestly, it was nice to be unplugged and enjoy vacation.
