**Charming Cabin Overlooking the Upper Meramec River ā€“ Peaceful Retreat Near Steelville, MO**

Welcome to **Three Pine Cabin**, a cozy and secluded getaway perched above the scenic Upper Meramec River. Located just 5 miles off I-44 (exit 208) and only 3 miles from Steelville, MO, this charming cabin is the perfect home base for a relaxing weekend or adventurous river escape.

Whether you're floating, fishing (this stretch is known for trophy smallmouth bass), swimming, or exploring local attractions, you'll be in the heart of it all. Three top-rated outfitters are located within 5 miles, offering canoe, kayak, raft, and tube rentals. One outfitter even has a convenient put-in spot just below the cabinā€”you can walk there, float the river, and they'll shuttle you back afterward.

**The Space**
Ideal for families or small groups, the cabin comfortably sleeps up to 7 guests.
- **Bedroom 1:** Full-size bed
- **Bedroom 2:** Full/twin bunk bed
- **Living Room:** Full-size pull-out couch

**Outdoor Living**
Step out onto the deck and take in beautiful views of the river below. River access is just a short walk or drive away (less than 1/4 mile). Guests are welcome to use the private river access at **Birds Nest Lodge**, one of our local partners. Please be mindful of floaters putting inā€”Saturdays from morning to early afternoon are typically busiest.

Whether you're here for a peaceful retreat or outdoor adventure, Three Pine Cabin offers the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and nature.

Sorry, there is NO internet. We are not able to get any providers to service the area at this time. Enjoy the time to unplug, enjoy the quite time, enjoy one another and enjoy nature.

Local attractions are Meramec Spring State Park, Dillard Mill State Park, the Meramec Music Theater, Wildwild Springs Lodge fall concert series, numerous vineyards and antiquing.

Note: If you look up the address on Google Maps or MapQuest they both have the location marked incorrectly. The cabin is located down the first left drive off of Idlewild Road. The cabin sets above the river.

Nice and quiet cabin

Stayed with a couple of friends over July 4th weekend. The cabin is nice and clean, and has many amenities. It's a very quiet location in walking distance to the river. It was very easy to work with the owner and everything was as promised. We'll be staying here again in a couple of weeks.

Easter Vacation

Even though the rain seemed to go on forever... The cabin, the surroundings, the river where all fantastic. I had so much fun fishing and playing ball with my grandsons. It was a vacation we all will remember.

Great cabin w/ minor gripe

Great little cabin for a weekend, only gripe we had was the cabin was a little dirtier than we would have liked, there was a bunch of dog hair on all the furniture and what appeared to be mold in the back of the blinds in the master bedroom. Beyond that, it's a great cabin to have a getaway as a couple or a float trip.

Spring Break Getaway

Our family spent a few days at Three Pine Cabin over spring break, and had a great time exploring the woods and river. There was plenty of room for two adults, two teens, and two dogs, and the view of the sunset over the river was beautiful! It is in a quiet and peaceful setting, but close enough to town when you need to make a grocery run. We will definitely make a return visit!

Cabin to spend christmas with family

Very remote feeling but only 5 miles from town. This place is a little gem, with all the amenities and then some to make sure you feel right at home. We appreciated having somewhere close to our kids to be able to have a holiday dinner with. The sound of the river while outside was so peaceful. And we walked down to it to skip rocks. Just beautiful, thanks for sharing your cabin with us!

Quite Cabin Stay

We went during the fall during thanksgiving. The cabin was small but very cozy. Our kids loved the bunk bed. The fire stove kept the cabin extremely warm as long as we had wood to burn.

Great outdoor spaces!

The cabin is out of the way yet still super close to river access. A ton of amenities and wonderful outdoor spaces! We did wish the fire pit was on flatter ground and didn't have uneven steps to get to it; that made navigating in the dark difficult. But we loved our stay and hope to return!

Fabulous stay

Three Pine Cabin was the perfect getaway for my husband's and my anniversary and his birthday. It was exactly as advertised, clean, beautiful and fully stocked with everything we needed. Our pup was very happy, too. Love the river access and thoroughly enjoyed hanging out on the covered porch. Would stay again!

Lovely Cabin in the Woods

We spent a relaxing week in this lovely cabin and were blessed with beautiful weather. Itā€™s remote and quiet and a wonderful place to unplug. The cabin is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Had lovely meals off the grill and two options for eating outside. The cabin is dog friendly and our canine companion was a happy pup. We explored local caverns (beautiful) and did a float trip on the exquisite river. We would stay here again.

Great stay for a mother/daughter girls weekend

Great stay for a mother/daughterā€™s weekend. The cabin had everything you would need. We floated the Meremac river through Birds nest which was talking distance from the cabin. The bus brought us back to the cabin after floating. I would stay here again.

Secluded Getaway

This charming cabin is tucked way off in the woods. The rock roads are a little rough, but not unmanageable. The cabin is fully stocked with almost everything you might need, except for food. My girlfriends and I were thrilled to have so much space to ourselves. It is pet friendly and the dog hair was apparent on the furniture, not an issue for me, but I could see that causing issues for others. It is a very steep walk (not safe at all) or a small hike back down the driveway to the river, but we didnā€™t miss not being right on the river. We sat out on the patio furniture every night and laughed til we hurt. Our stay was fantastic!

We love this place. Its super easy to check in, the river is just down the road and Birdā€™s Nest Rafts put in at the same spot. Cozy and comfortable! This is our 5th stay.
