"The cabin was very clean. The check-in smooth and friendly. Plenty of parking. The cabin was well equipped. The heater worked great. The only thing that wasn’t appealing was the outside view of this one particular cabin. The others were probably fine. I’d still stay in this same one though especially for mainly a good nights sleep."

The host gave us a tour of all of his custom built cabins that he has on the property and was thoughtful enough to gift us a bottle of champagne for my girlfriend’s birthday. "The tent/cabin was very nice. Not happy with showers as doors didn’t shut well and no place to put clothes that won’t get damp while showering. Contacted office and was told they couldn’t help us as they were not on site. If you like rustic and the weather is not rainy, it would be fine. Plus the walls are just canvas so sound travels through clearly so you can hear your neighbors and air traffic. So not too crazy about walking 100 yds to go to the bathroom at night but if that doesn’t bother...

"The two-night stay was great, in a calm and quiet place, even though it was close to the Alaska Railway. The room was tidy and functional, the service was excellent, and the owner was a wonderful person. The location was very close to Exit Glacier, one of Seward's land attractions. Oh, the stay reminded me of my childhood and youth scouting days."
