    An Extraordinary Wilderness Adventure! Welcome to your lovely ten-acre vacation spot in the foothills of Yosemite at Donkey Lane. If you are looking for a Wilderness Experience, solitude, sunshiny days and starlit nights in the pine woods with nature’s elements and all kinds of critters about then Yosemite Vista @ Donkey Lane is the destination for you. At 3,400 feet we’re just above the snow mark but below the blizzard line atop a mountain ridge where you can see the sunrise and set without leaving the property. We’re 15 minutes from the nearest grocery store or gas station and 45 minutes (30 miles) as the crow flies from the Highway 120 and the northern entrance into Yosemite National Park. Our vacation property can accommodate up to 6 adults in the main house and 2-3 adults in the adjacent guesthouse. The main house has three bedrooms; master bedroom has a private full-bath while the two smaller bedrooms share a full-bath in the hall. The couch in the living room is big enough to easily sleep one. Floor mats and sleeping bags area available for the adventurous outdoors deck sleepers under the stars. Security deposit of $200 will be refunded within 14 days after your departure date (baring no deductions). Main House for four nights $640 and up Each additional guest $20 per day and up Security/damage & key deposit $200.00 and up Cleaning and garbage fee $200.00 and up Pet (dog) fee $50.00 per pet Guesthouse is only used for overflow to accommodate larger families, groups and their friends and will not be rented out separately. Minimum price/stay is four nights at $640 adding $20 each additional guest per day up to maximum occupancy within the main house. Four plus nights start at $160 per night up to seven. Discount rate for weekly bookings start at $1,100 per week of 7 nights. Additional security, cleaning and garbage fees are negotiable but will apply. Note: Fees change according to dates, party size and unique requests. Pricing will also vary depending on season and demand. I recommend we negotiate if there is flexibility to do so. The easy access entrance to the main house has an accommodating front porch that extends onto the south facing walkway to the back deck, which extends throughout the entire length of the back of the house. The back of the house faces due east and captures sweeping views of conifers, oaks and manzanita and the often snow capped majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains and Cathedral Range. ACCOMMODATIONS: This home is privately owned and reflects the owners' individual tastes and requirements. Please be respectful of personal property and do not remove furnishings, kitchen items or private property. Main house hallway entrance leads into the high ceiling living room and attached full amenity kitchen. Kitchen includes: Dinning room table extends to seat up to 10+ w/ bench Easy access pantry and lots of kitchen counter top space Double door refrigerator/ freezer Full-top range & cooking stove Full size microwave Stocked cupboards, dishes, glasses, utensils, pots & pans Coffee maker, teapot, toaster, rice maker & more Living Room: Blue-ray / DVD / TV / CD Radio Stereo Internet Wood burning stove Panoramic Views Large couch & leather lounge chair Master Bedroom: Queen Size bed Walk-in closet Reading / study desk Private sliding door onto rear deck Separate / private full bathroom Two Guest Bedrooms: Queen & bunk beds Attached double car garage: Complete workout gym House comes with central heating and air conditioning. Pets & Beasts: We are pet friendly both large and small, including access & accommodations to a corral for large dogs, horses and pack animals. Our guesthouse is a completely furnished, separate living space with: Full/shower bathroom, queen size bed, couch with a full size foldout bed, Leather lounge chair, dinette table & stools, double kitchen sink, Small refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven Wood burning stove, Heating / AC Note: Our water is “well water” pumped up from over 300 feet below the property. The water is safe for cleaning, bathing and drinking. The water is safe to drink. CHECK-IN /OUT: Plan to arrive after 2:00 p.m. Departure time is 12:00 PM, (Noon) sharp. DAMAGES: I agree to properly use, operate and care for all furnishings, including electrical and gas appliances, plumbing fixtures, electronic home entertainment property, fireplaces, BBQs and all other items or whatsoever kind of nature provided to me during my stay for my convenience. I also agree to leave the home so that no extraordinary housekeeping will be required after my departure. I agree to both notify and reimburse the owners for all necessary and reasonable repairs, replacement for damage or destruction of property caused by my guests, and me or for extra cleaning required. We will notify you of the costs of damages or extra housekeeping within ten days after your departure. QUIET TIME: 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please respect these hours as sound does carry off the mountain, especially during warm/hot weather nights when the windows are open. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: I agree to indemnify and save and hold harmless Donkey Lane Lodge near Yosemite and its' homeowners from any loss, liability, damage or cost I may incur due to my occupancy on your premises or from participation in any recreational activities during my stay.

      Peaceful Christmas - Spectacular views

      If you're looking for a magical spot in the great outdoors, then look no further. My husband and I along with our 2 cattle dogs enjoyed every peaceful, relaxing minute of our Christmas get away. The home is lovely both inside and out and exactly as described. The photos while true reflections of the home and property really don't do it justice - you need to see it to truly appreciate the spectacular views. We enjoyed a day trip into Groveland which is an adorable little town. Our dogs were more than thrilled to be able to head off on hikes at least twice a day during our stay. The home is comfortable and tastefully decorated and the wood stove kept us warm and toasty on the cool Winter nights. We will definitely keep this gem in mind for future vacations.         Nice place, hard to get to.

        I have nothing but good things to say about this property.It was a little hard to get to (on small winding dirt roads).... that, though, I should have expected and was charming after I figured it out. The owner did give good directions of how to get there.

          This is a wonderful, thoughtfully-designed, immaculate property.

          This is a beautiful home and very nicely set up for visitors. You can look at the trees in the valley below from the porch. You can enjoy the trees close by from two chair set up near the house. You can watch spectacular sunsets from the driveway. We watched shooting stars from the back porch. The night sky is wonderful. I loved how clean the house was. The owners are caring, responsive and environmentally conscious. Thanks for a great stay.

            The house was peaceful and soul filling. The extra time to get to the tourist attractions was EASILY worth the evening and morning views and solitude of such a beautiful home. My wife and myself plan on returning!

              Great Property with View

              After staying a week at this property, I can equivalently state that this is the nicest property I have rented through VRBO. Great view of the high Sierra's; very quiet and secluded. The house was immaculate and was very well furnished with everything you would need.
