The Lincoln Square Hideaway

As you walk into your private 1st floor apartment from Western Ave, you’ll be greeted by a stunning wide-open great room. With 10+ foot ceilings, this previously commercial space provides ample enjoyment for the whole group. Add in the elegant boho design, and this Airbnb is one of a kind! Enjoy all of the amenities from home, a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining table, games (including Foosball), comfortable beds and seating, and more. All in the beautiful and walkable Lincoln Square!

The Great Room - This is the room you walk into when entering the property. It's truly a stunning space. The large ceilings and square footage makes it feel as big as it is. The furniture is well appointed, and the sections blend nicely to fill the space. It's perfect for getting everyone together and enjoying each others' company!!! The 5 sections of the Great Room:

1. Trundle Bed / Seating Area - The trundle is comprised of two single beds (one pulls out from below). Hanging Egg chair is a nice touch that can face the trundle or foosball table.

2. Foosball table w/ bench.

3. Dining table that is large enough for family style dinners or games. On the shelving unit, you'll find some popular board games, books, and cards. Feel free to take a book home with you if you have one to leave behind.

4. Living room w/ a comfy Crate & Barrel couch, 65" TV, chair, and bean bags.

5. Dedicated workspace with desk and chair.

Important Notes - Internet is fast with a download speed of 400 mbps. Both TVs have a guest login for Netflix and HBO Max. There is also an extensive list of LG channels on both TVs. There are other common apps installed on the TVs (Hulu, Prime Video, Disney+), but you'll have to login to your personal account to access content.

The primary bedroom - The main bedroom is located off the back of the great room near the dedicated work space. It has a King sized bed with comfortable Mellanni sheets and a 55" LG TV hidden behind bifold doors. The remarkable accent wall provides an elegant setting with a seating area and large closet.

The 2nd Bedroom - The 2nd bedroom is on the right upon entering. It has stylish decor and a unique loft-like feel. This bedroom has a vanity mirror with chair and a semi-private walk-in closet space. The bed is a Queen with Mellanni sheets.

Kitchen - At the back of the great room is a hallway with your full bathroom on your left, and Kitchen straight ahead. The kitchen is well-equipped for any of your cooking, baking, or drinking needs. The coffee (and tea) bar is a great way to start your day!

Bathroom - The bathroom has a walk in shower with two shower heads. The shower can comfortably fit 2 people. Attached to the shower wall are shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. No bathtub. There's a linen closet with extra towels and toilet paper if needed.

Laundry Room - Exit the apartment through the back door in the Kitchen. Take a right, and you'll find the laundry room. This laundry room is shared with long-term tenants of the building. Please be considerate if you should meet any of them.

The entire 2-bedroom, first floor apartment is private for your use only. No one else has access to this space. The laundry room is shared with long-term tenants of the building. All other areas of the building (garage, stairwell, etc.) are for long-term tenants only.

Lincoln Square and Ravenswood is a beautiful neighborhood on the Northside of Chicago. It is very walkable with an endearing strip of independent shops, boutiques, restaurants, bars, and cafes on Lincoln Ave. It boasts 6 award winning breweries and 1 distillery. There are also restaurants, breweries, art spaces and commercial spaces down Ravenswood Ave. Winnemac and Welles parks are wonderful green spaces for recreation and sports in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is family and pet friendly. Transportation is easy with the CTA Brown line train running through the neighborhood. Downtown is a 30 minute train ride away. Lincoln Square is also 3 miles away from Lake Michigan and Wrigley Field.

-Getting around is easy with public transportation. The Western stop on the Brown line is just over three blocks away. There's also a Western bus stop right outside the property and a Lawrence bus stop that's just over two blocks away.

-Taking a taxi or Uber is also a really efficient way of getting around, but if you've never ridden the "L", I suggest taking the Brown line somewhere. The train is elevated off the ground which gives you a unique journey through Chicago's northside.

-For drivers, there is ample, free street parking on Western Ave in front of the building and Winnemac Ave around the corner of the building.

-There are 2 Divvy bike stations nearby the apartment where you can rent bikes. You can return the bikes at any station in Chicago. There a couple of wonderful bike trails in Chicago. One is the lakefront trail which is an 18 mile stretch next to Lake Michigan. The other is called the North Branch trail where you can ride through the forest preserves on a 16 mile trail.

- By making a reservation, you are agreeing to the house rules, and are subject to the posted fines if evidence is found that the rules were broken.

- The portable crib and trundle bed duvet and pillows are stored in the primary bedroom's closet.

- The 2nd bedroom's walls are adjoined to the great room and do not reach the 10 foot ceilings. This creates a cool and unique aesthetic while inside the room; however, don't expect sound privacy from the great room if members of your party intend to occupy that space while you're sleeping.

-The entire unit is not wheel chair accessible. Although there are some positive accessibility features of this unit, it is not fully accessible. The bathroom door is less than 36". There aren't grab bars or a shower chair in the bathroom. The 2nd bedroom walkways are also too narrow for any assisted devices. The positive accessibility features are that there are no stairs and you can comfortably maneuver through the great room, primary bedroom, and kitchen with any assisted device.
