Welcome to Saint Philip Square, an award-winning collection of historic homes, including The Cottage at 180 Saint Philip Street. This 3-bed, 3-bath standalone home offers privacy, modern comfort, and Charleston’s signature charm just one block from King Street. Recognized with 5 Carolopolis Awards and the SC Governor’s Award for Historic Restoration, this inviting retreat features a secluded courtyard, and elegant interiors—ideal for families or groups seeking an authentic Charleston experience.

Bedroom 1 – Queen bed with stylish furnishings, ensuite bath, and ample storage.
Bedroom 2 – Queen bed, conveniently near a full bath, featuring cozy décor and natural light.
Bedroom 3 – Queen bed, adjacent to a well-appointed bath, offering privacy and comfort.
Living & Dining Area – Open-concept space with plush seating, dining table, charming Lowcountry design.
Kitchen – Fully stocked, combination Keurig drip / pod coffee maker, all the small gadgets.
Private Courtyard – Completely fenced, ample and comfortable seating, grill, perfect for outdoor relaxation.

Offsite Resort Amenities:
Access to The Wonderer, an exclusive adult-only resort downtown Charleston 2.6 miles away from Saint Philip Square (guests 25+ only; no one under 21 permitted at the pool).
Olympic-sized heated pool (cabana rentals available).
Gym and fitness classes (additional charges apply).
Onsite bars, restaurant, and workspaces.
Note: The Wonderer is a separate entity, and availability may vary. Book in advance for guaranteed access.

The entire property is available to guests. The courtyard is enclosed and private. There is one parking place dedicated to the property right in front of the cottage. The cottage is a stand alone, one story building so guests have complete privacy. However, Jamie’s office is next door if you need help. There is landscaped parking for 1 vehicle.

Saint Philip Square is an award-winning collection of 6 historic buildings meticulously curated to enhance your stay in Charleston. "The Cottage" is one of seventeen unique rentals. The grounds feature outdoor garden areas with fountains, dining areas, fire tables and outdoor grills. In the evenings, this oasis sparkles with outdoor lighting, making it the perfect place for nightcaps after a day of exploring.

House Rules:
- No parties or events without written approval
- No amplified music.
- No smoking inside.
- Pets allowed with prior written approval ($200 non-refundable fee)
- Quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM – Be respectful of neighbors.
- Check-in: 4:00 PM | Check-out: 10:00 AM.
- Only registered guests are allowed to stay overnight.
- Any decorations must be secured using painter’s tape only to avoid damage to walls.
- Guests must follow trash disposal instructions provided by the host.
- Please return all items and furniture to their original locations.
- The Wonderer access must be booked in advance – no refunds for availability issues.

Wonderful in many ways. Great location. Can really walk most anywhere. Block or so from King St with many food and drink options. The home itself is lovely. Remarkably clean and well stocked. Seemed to think of everything one might need. Coffee, laundry soap, makeup towels, and basics for cooking. We had 5 staying and the 3 BR/3B worked wonderfully for our family. Charleston is a remarkable and unique city with amazing architecture and history. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Everything was great; however, the Keurig coffee maker kept spewing coffee and grounds from the pods. Sometimes it would work and sometimes not probably needs to be replaced. We then used the coffeemaker with the pot.

Perfect Place!

This location was the perfect place to explore Charleston. The home itself ( we rented the whole thing) was exceptional. It was clean, spacious, and had all amenities. Communication was quick. Would certainly stay here again and recommend to anyone who wants a perfect place to stay!

We had a great time at the cottage. Having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was very convenient. The location was good. Quiet area, but close to shopping and restaurants. Also a good coffee place around the corner.

Beautiful, little hideaway- close to everything

My best friend and my two well-behaved Goldens stayed here during Wine and Food to enjoy all that Charleston has to offer. The cottage is tucked away in a series of large row houses directly off the street. It was easy to get to King St/Meeting St- shopping, sightseeing and restaurants were only a short 5-10 minute walk. The parking directly in front of the property is a bonus. Though the cottage looks historical, the interior has been remodeled to contain every modern amenity you might need. We didn't cook at all, but the kitchen is well stocked. All the little "extras"- like dish soap, coffee, laundry detergent, etc... were so helpful. The sheets were soft, the towels were plush and my best friend couldn't stop talking about how good the water pressure/shower was. Jamie was a delight to communicate with for any needs. I highly recommend the unit if you are a party of 4-6. There's just enough space to feel at home without feeling cramped.

Charleston Wedding home base

Stayed at St Phillip’s Square for a wedding. Fantastic property and location. Quality throughout. Only downside was a single parking place for a three bedroom unit.

Pretty good.

House is in a great location. Unfortunately, The keypad didn’t work and we needed to request an extra key-which they responded to quickly. The house was well equipped and comfortable for 5 girlfriends. Unfortunately, the House had a strong musty moldy smell. I’m very sensitive to that so for that reason I wouldn’t stay there again.

Great Location and Service

The properties at St. Philip Square are in a fantastic location with easy access to restaurants and shops. It is also only a short walk to DASH bus stops. The units all appear to have been very recently remodeled and all share access to a beautiful outdoor space with plenty of seating areas for multiple groups to enjoy at the same time. The unit we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. We also were impressed by Jamie's communication and responsiveness. Everything we needed to know was shared in advance and when we did have a question, we received an immediate and accommodating response.

Perfect in town home

Couldn’t ask for anything more. House is clean and nicely furnished and location is just close enough to everything without being in the frenzy of the main activity. Parking spot is nice but was able to walk almost everywhere.
