Summary:
Welcome to this beautiful and vibrant downtown home, originally built in 1905 and recently renovated to modern standards. Bursting with color and character, each of the eight spacious bedrooms offers a distinct personality, complemented by eight beautifully appointed bathrooms that blend contemporary design with classic touches. The heart of the home is a stunning kitchen, thoughtfully designed for both functionality and style, making it a perfect gathering space for family and friends. Large front windows flood the interior with natural light, enhancing the cheerful atmosphere and providing picturesque views of the surrounding area. This property is an exceptional fusion of history and modern living, ideal for those seeking a lively and welcoming retreat. Whether you're entertaining guests or enjoying a quiet evening, this home invites you to experience comfort and creativity in every corner.

The Space:
The interior features an extra large primary bedroom with a King bed, a fireplace (non-working), and an en suite full bathroom. The Queen Bedrooms offer a large space, a fireplace (non-working), and antique furnishings. Across the hall you'll find a charming bedroom and plenty of closet space. Rooms share the full bath in the hallway. There is a full-size washer and dryer.The large living area features a queen-size sofa bed. The kitchen is newly renovated and includes open shelving and new appliances, as well as dining for 8.

Flora House spans the entire top floor of a grand Charleston house built in 1905. With modern updated conveniences, Flora House also retains the charm of her old world beginnings, including original wood floors, fireplaces (non-working) and window panes. The interior features an extra large primary bedroom with a King bed, a fireplace (non-working), and an en suite full bathroom. The Queen Bedroom offers a large space, a fireplace (non-working), and antique furnishings. Across the hall is a charming bedroom and plenty of closet space. Both rooms share the full bath in the hallway. There is a full-size washer and dryer. The living area offers a queen-size sofabed plus a nook office with huge windows and natural light. The kitchen is newly renovated and includes open shelving and new appliances.

This is unit is fully licensed and legal with the City of Charleston under STR Operational Permit OP2025-06570

Guest Access:
🚫Please note: The Wonderer will be closed for renovations during November. Club access will resume once renovations are complete.

Each of our vacation rentals is accessed by a keyless door code for ease of entry, and allows for a zero-interaction check-in/check-out process. A door code specific to each guests’ stay will be provided the day prior to your check-in. If you have any questions about directions or access to the property, our team would be happy to assist.

Once you confirm your reservation at The Wonderer, you will receive a link to book your time to visit the Campus. Please note, all fitness classes and ticketed events are offered based on availability and may come at an additional cost. Day Passes are available with required pre-registration via a link that will be shared with you upon booking.

Day pass reservations at The Wonderer for guests of this property are completely free of charge. The Wonderer’s on-site parking lot is a paid lot, however there is free on-street parking in the area subject to availability.

Please note: availability at The Wonderer is not guaranteed without a confirmed reservation. The number of available day passes remains strictly first-come, first-serve. If you plan to enjoy The Wonderer anytime between April 15th - September 1st, we strongly suggest booking in advance to guarantee access.

The Wonderer has a minimum age requirement of 25 years old (unless you're a member, a guest of a member, or receive a special exception from club management).

The Neighborhood:
The house is located in the heart of the charming and trendy Cannonborough-Elliotborough district of Downtown Charleston. With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree-lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston's classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun and or relaxing vacation. The house is minutes to the very popular Upper King Street district, where you will find a multitude of great shops, bookstores, and fashion boutiques - as well as amazing restaurants!

Getting Around:
You can walk anywhere and everywhere in Charleston, but just in case, here is a list of the top transportation services:

The DASH trolley is free in Charleston. There are 3 routes, and two of the routes have stops just blocks from this property. More information can be found with the route map on the DASH website.

As much as we love furry companions, pets are not allowed at this property. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If a pet and/or pet evidence is found at the home we reserve the right to charge a $150/pet fee.

🚫 This is a 100% smoke-free property.
Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. A fine will be charged ($300) for any in-room smoke evidence. If you wish to smoke, please do so at least 10 feet away from the building outdoors.

🧳 Luggage Drop-Off:
We are pleased to offer our guests convenient luggage storage through our partnership with Charleston Bag Valet, a trusted local provider. This service allows you to securely drop off your luggage before check-in or after check-out, so you can explore and enjoy your time in Charleston without the inconvenience of carrying your bags. Please note that additional fees apply for this service.

🏙️ Noise Notice:
Our home is in a vibrant neighborhood just steps from King Street’s dining and nightlife. While that energy is part of the experience, city noise may be heard. Please be advised that:
⭐️ A local noise ordinance is in effect from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
⭐️ Guests must be respectful of neighbors during these hours.
⭐️ We do not offer refunds for noise-related issues that are to be expected of the location.
⭐️ By booking, you acknowledge and accept this city setting and the potential for ambient noise.

🧑‍🔧 To help us ensure a great stay, guests must allow us the chance to address any issues during their visit.
Refunds will not be issued for concerns reported after checkout or when resolution efforts are declined.

❄️ Charleston homes are built for a subtropical climate, and since many are older, severe cold snaps may affect both water temperature and indoor heating.

🧹 If damage or excessive cleaning is required after checkout, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee equivalent to a full cleaning.

🚗 Please note that we cannot assume responsibility for vehicles parked outside the designated parking areas.

🚫 Please note that we will not make exceptions to the cancellation policy associated with your reservation.

🌀 Hurricane Policy / Extenuating Circumstances:
⭐️ In the event that a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued for our county by the Governor of South Carolina during your stay, we will provide a full refund of all payments made.
⭐️ If no such order is issued, our standard cancellation policy remains in effect, even if weather elsewhere impacts your travel plans.
⭐️ We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance, especially during hurricane season, for added peace of mind.
