Welcome to Pete's Retreat, a historic vacation rental in Cedar Key! This charming Cedar Key style retreat is a trip back in time with modern amenities for your comfort. You'll have everything you need for a relaxing stay, including Wi-Fi, Dish Network TV (TVs are located in the living room, and master bedroom), 2 full baths with showers (one fully remodeled in 2023), a full-sized washer/dryer, three comfortable bedrooms (King, Queen, 2 Twins), a complete modern kitchen, and brand new duct-free AC/Heat units throughout.

Pete's Retreat is a lovingly restored work in progress, and its quirks add to its charm. Unwind on the original screened front porch, and leave the real world behind for a few days to enjoy the island's pace of life. We promise you'll make memories here at Pete's Retreat.

Load up your kayaks and bicycles, and come to the quiet nature coast of Florida. You can rent kayaks in town and have them delivered to the house, or launch your own from the nearby beach area sheltered by mangroves. The possibilities for paddling and fishing are endless in the backwaters or open Gulf waters of Cedar Key. Pete’s is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the restaurants, shops, and cafes of the village.

Please keep the house and yard free of litter and refrain from smoking inside or on the porch (the yard is acceptable for smoking). Unfortunately, we cannot allow RVs to be parked in the spacious yard. We love dogs and welcome one furry friend under thirty-five pounds with a $100 charge. You'll find doggie blankets for furniture coverings if needed.

-Please be respectful of the neighbors and the area you are staying
-Do not trespass on other people's property, this includes docks and driveways
-Please be careful where you park, don't block people in, use neighbors property, park on the sidewalk or impede traffic
-Parties and/or events are not allowed
-No smoking inside or within 10 feet of doors or windows $250 fine if the property smells of smoke
-Unauthorized pets will result in a $250 fine for each animal
-$150/person/day fee for over occupancy limit
-Please don’t eat or drink anything besides water in the bedroom
-Quiet hours 10 pm to 7 am per local Noise Ordinance
-Please respect the check-in and check-out times. $500 for each 4 hours, or portion unauthorized thereof, of early check-in and late checkout.
-Guests are responsible for any damage they cause. If something does happen contact us ASAP and we will see if there’s a way to quickly take care of the issue before it gets worse and costs more.
-Please don’t rearrange the furniture.
-Please do your dishes.
-No illegal substances allowed on premises.
- Primary renter must be at least 25 years old or active military.
- ESA and service animals require documentation and adherence to our policies.
- Do not set the AC below 72° or heat above 78°.
- If there are kayaks or bikes included in the rental, use these responsibly, following all Florida regulations. Not all units under management include kayaks or bikes, please reference the listing to see included amenities. You confirm you are trained in the use of kayaks and bicycles. You are responsible for any damages or injuries resulting from their use.
