Wet bar up stairs and down , huge deck with lounging area and BBQ and fire table , great view over looking ocean , hot tub out side , walk a beautiful trail down to your own private beach . Note there is caretaker suite on the property . Very special property located 15 minutes from Airport or 10 minutes from Ferry . Great for a family getaway or a couples retreat , 2 pubs and the best Restaurant in Nanaimo with in 4 k of property .

Senior Friends trip

Place is beautiful a great whale watching location. However somewhat remote and had very poor phone and internet connections. Also had full time live in people down stairs in same home. Could hear them and they had late night guests that rang our door bell and woke us up. The downstairs bedroom had no heat.

Awesome Rental

Wonderful property! It is not too far from town, has excellent beach access, is very private, and the house was so lovely! The shower in the master bathroom is incredible! We loved the basement and pool table. The grill, hot tub, beach access, and house were clean and very well-maintained. What more could we ask for? An awesome vacation! Thank you so much, and we will stay again.

Ultimate comfort, beauty, and relaxation!

Everyone, in our group of six, agreed staying at this beautiful spot was the highlight of our trip. The kitchen was big and well equipped. The bathrooms were clean and spacious and so ideal that there were 3. And the steam shower in the master was a treat! To be honest we didnā€™t even use all of the space. We spent a majority of our time hanging out on the deck watching the boats navigate the currents. We also loved exploring the beach. So much awesome driftwood and shells. Another favorite was a local restaurant called Crow and Gate. It was a wonderful experience. They offer delicious food in the most beautiful garden atmosphere. We will definitely recommend Wayneā€™s place and cannot wait to return someday.

Weā€™ll be back!

The view is just gorgeous. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck by the fire in the mornings and evenings, just enjoying the peaceful quiet and wildlife (bunnies, deer, birds). The layout of the house was ideal to give everyone a bit of privacy and their own bathrooms. Wayne was responsive and helpful.

Probably the perfect oceanside getaway

Wayne's property is a gem. Private, modern, well maintained, and definitely a nice get-away for friends. We had all the amenities to cook our own food, and it's central enough for quick trips to the Raptors sanctuary in Duncan or up to Parksville. And groceries via Instacart. Would very much recommend. 5/5 if the hot tub was working.

What an amazing weekend!

From the photos and description alone, this place checked off all the boxes for my group of friends and me. However, being there in person, everything was beyond my expectations. The property was very secluded, and it felt like you had been transported to a private island. We love how big this property is, and the private access to the beach below is definitely a major plus. Wayne was super nice and very responsive to all my messages and requests. We only wish we could stay here for a few more days! 10/10. Definitely would love to come back in the near future! Thanks again for the amazing weekend.

Beautiful weekend girls get away location! The house is stunning and the kitchen has everything you need an more! Had a hard time finding the wifi password (we did eventually find it - one of the black binders in the cupboard in the kitchen across from the fridge). Messaged the host asking for the password and never heard back from him...

Amazing property and great accommodation!

The property was clean and the views were great, even better than the pictures. We also enjoyed the beach access. We asked to have a small beach fire and the host agreed as the weather was cool. The hot tub had a fuel pump issue but the host communicated this and even surprised us with an extra night stay to accommodate. The house fit our 8 friends perfectly. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Wayne!

Old friends

A group of 7 old friends on a retreat to support friends dealing with loss, hang out and play pool/draft a hockey pool. The house was great and so was the location. Only criticism would be the driveway is odd to find.. but itā€™s there. ;) Cheers

Short summer break with the family

Location and house were both fantastic. I could spend days looking at the view watching the tides roll in and out. The beach isnā€™t really a hang out beach especially at high tide, lots to look at when the tides out though. I did some kayaking too, although thereā€™s a few stairs to get the boats down. Even though Nanaimo is close, it doesnā€™t feel like it, feels very quiet and remote in cedar. The small town has a decent grocery store and liquor store. I would thoroughly recommend this location and will consider booking againā€¦

Overall a very satisfying stay at this great property !

We had a minor hiccup with the checkin process, but beyond that it was a great stay and we wouldā€™ve liked to add another night if we could. The place is beautiful and very clean.

Great spot

Great for hanging out at and taking easy for a few days. Also makes a great base camp for day trips to Parksville, Tofino, Botanical Beach, Victoria and salt Spring Island, among others. The only issue we had was finding the place at night. The address is tough to see and isnā€™t where itā€™s supposed to be (itā€™s two addresses past where itā€™s supposed to be)
