Great Location but currently a Construction Zone
We arrived looking forward to spending two relaxing weeks on the beach. Unfortunately, many of the Beach Front Villa units are still undergoing major repairs and renovations from Hurricane Ian. This was not only in our building but the adjacent Villa buildings. Also one note, the elevators in most of these buildings are totally out of commission due to water damage and will be for quite some time. Not a huge issue but could make for a tough time hauling luggage up two flights of stairs especially for anyone with mobility issues. We were greeted 7:30 each weekday morning with the sounds of construction trucks unloading in the parking lot and workers hauling equipment up the stairs which the bedroom faces. And work in the units started promptly at 8 AM each morning in the 2 adjacent units and also major construction in the unit above us. No sleeping in for sure. On the positive note the beach was great, the sunsets from the porch were incredible and the golf cart was very handy at getting around the local area. We also loved getting to observe a nesting Osprey pair raising their young right outside the lanai, and seeing dolphins swimming just off the beach each morning. Overall a great location but the construction was a detractor during our stay.

Loved The View
My husband and I stayed a couple nights and really enjoyed our time there. The view is just beautiful and the condo is nice. There is construction still, but more and more opening up. Loved the key lime pie at RC Otters, try it if you go, and of the course the view and the food from Mucky Duck is great! A nice walk down the beach! Thanks for a great stay and great communication!

Great location within steps from the beach
Although the inside of the unit is a bit smaller than it appears in the pictures, there are two pools and the beach within steps and much closer than the look in the pictures. Was great to have access to a golf cart to explore captiva. Marcus was very responsive and the check-in process was very easy.

November Birthday vacation 2023
Wonderful place to stay for our annual Sanibel/Captiva vacation. Thankful to be returning to one of our favorite destinations. Loved the condo. Everything we needed. Close to the beach and restaurants etc. that are currently operational. Marcus was accessible, friendly and easy to communicate with. Excellent host. Will not hesitate to return to this condo. Awesome beach front spot!
The place was really great! The bedroom was comfy and living room had 2 great fold out couches. The pool is 20 steps away and the beach is 20 steps past that! I highly recommend staying here, and the golf cart was a fan fave as well! Morning beach run, then golf cart trip to Starbucks was a perfect way to start the day. Marcus was super responsive as well. TI noticed a prior review about the AC but it’s controlled with a normal thermostat and very easy to use. The unit stayed cool and it was 97 out : ) We are planning on coming back in the winter

Nice property
Overall this property was very nice. It was in a great location on the South Seas Resort property. It is oceanfront with stunning views of the sunset on Captiva Island which are viewable from the nice screened in porch. The beach is a short walk from the condo building. The golf cart was a wonderful touch and allowed a more fun way to tour the rest of the south seas resort and "downtown" Captiva. Access to the restaurants was much easier with the golf cart! Marcus was easily accessible and responded quickly. The condo itself was as described. Recently renovated, comfortable beds with clean sheets. The murphy bed is a great idea! It was very clean and no bugs seen during our stay. A few thing that could have been better - the kitchen could use a few more small glasses and several of the kitchen instruments were rusted and needed to be replaced. Other than that, the kitchen seemed well appointed. My biggest complaint is the thermostat. I understand wanting to conserve energy and the cost of cooling a condo. However, the settings were quite extreme. During the day, the thermostat was set in the low 80s. Coming back from the beach after being out all down, it was quite warm in the condo. Overnight it was set in the high 70s (77). This made sleeping miserable. I would wake up each night sweating and would have to get up to set the thermostat down to a reasonable level (72-73). This really was my only complaint and would request the settings be reprogrammed prior to staying her again.

Meredith I really wish you had asked me about the thermostat. It’s not on a program. It’s just like a hotel, you set it yourself to whatever temperature you’re comfortable with. The temperature settings would have been leftover from the last guest.

Great location & view of ocean. Golf cart was a plus. Disappointed the bikes were in disrepair & we were not able to use or rent the resort’s beach chairs & umbrella. GPS did not recognize the address; fortunately the resorts guard shack was staffed late at night & they were able to direct us to the unit.

Updated unit!
We’ve stayed at South Seas many times, switched units this trip and glad we did. The remodeled unit was very nice, perfect location to sunsets, pool, walking beach to restaurants. Unit was very clean and furnished with good linens.

Birthday Getaway
Nice property, great location. Property owner was very quick to respond with any questions we had while we were there. Never needed car once we got there. We could get around with the golf cart and bikes that were provided with the unit. if you have more than a couple of people it would be a little tight sharing 1 bathroom.

Relaxing Getaway!!
My husband and I enjoyed our 5 night stay in this beautiful condo perfectly located in Captiva Island. The golf cart provided by the owner was so nice to get to and from dinner and the local market to grab some essentials. They also provide bikes but we chose the golf cart each time. Mucky Duck’s was our favorite food spot for both lunch and dinner, but we also enjoyed the Key Lime Bistro for breakfast one morning, Doc Ford’s was also amazing and The Bubble Room experience is a must-get the cheesecake!!! Our only complaint, and it is so minor, is the kitchen in the condo was a little ill equipped (needed scissors, and a few options for containers with lids to store the fruits we bought, more cups, coffee mugs, and plates would have prevented us from washing or running the dishwasher so empty and possibly just one time during our stay. But these are minor and would not prevent us from staying here again. The owner is very quick to respond and extremely accommodating!

Captiva Vacay
Came for a short getaway with my family. Excellent location and very clean. Walking distance to the beach where beach chairs and umbrellas were available and provided for free. Highly recommend! Would stay again.

Wonderful week
Villa was just as pictured on VRBO website. Unit had everything we needed for a beach stay, including Tommy Bahama beach chairs, umbrellas, shovel and beach towels. Owner was quick to respond to my two texts. We enjoyed the freshness of the interior and comfort of the bed.

Spring break was fantastic here!!!

We had an amazing time. Having the golf cart was a blast- watching the sunsets- enjoying the island, close to the beach and pools- the unit was beautiful and comfortable. Would highly recommend and would book again!

Location Location Location
The unit is all new upgrades came with everything you need for a family vacation. Beach towels and chairs etc. The location is great convenient to shops restaurants all a short walk drive or golf cart ride. South Seas Resort is the perfect location great beach bar on site lots to do or just relax. Owner Max was fantastic to deal with. Would highly recommend staying here Five Stars

Winter Escape
We had a wonderful stay and was exactly what we needed to escape the midwest winter and COVID 19 pandemic restrictions. The property had everything we needed! We enjoyed the access to the golf cart to navigate the island. Marcus was prompt in responding to questions, check in and check out was easy. This is now one of my favorite places in Florida and we will be returning next year for longer. Highly recommend this VRBO!

Beautiful unit; great location; unit needs some TLC for maintenance and equipment
We have been going to Captiva for 30 plus years, and have rented units from the resort as well as through owners directly. This unit attracted us because of the beautiful, new renovation. The kitchen is small but really nice. The owner is pleasant to work with. The issue is that the unit needs better quality ongoing maintenance and repairs as there were many things that did not live up to the billing of "new" and "renovated." We had a wonderful stay because of 78 degree weather, lack of crowds, but the unit didn't offer a 5 star experience because of the above.

I guess you can't please everyone all the time... The renter commented to me about how lovely the unit was but they were upset that there were a few blubs burnt out in the unit and the batteries to the fan had died. We offered to come in and change the bulbs/batteries but they declined. We also offered them a refund but they declined. All bulbs/batteries have since been changed :)

Wonderful place close to the beach!
We just stayed at this lovely condo and had a great time. The condo is completely renovated in a very modern style. We like the sleek furniture and the thought that was put into the renovation. The bed is very comfortable! The location is great! You have ocean views from the lanai and you are on the beach in about 2 minutes. The condo has plenty of beach chairs, toys and boogie boards. The kitchen is well equipped. The owner is very easy to communicate with and very responsive. We had an issue with the keyless entry and he was very helpful in resolving it. We definitely recommend this place!

Beach Villa
The condo is super clean and modern. It looks exactly as pictured. The bed is very comfy and the view of the gulf from the screened in porch is fabulous. Having access to the golf cart was a fun perk. Note: If there is a washer/dryer in the unit, it's in a locked closet and not accessible to renters, and there is no ice maker or ice trays (but it's easy to buy a bag of ice at nearby store). Marcus is nice to work with and even left us a bottle of Prosecco and a box of chocolate. I would definitely stay here again!

Our first Captiva trip
Wow! What a wonderful place to stay for a quick mother/daughter trip before school starts. The place was clean, beautiful, and looked just like the pictures. Loved having the golf cart, however, it was older. The side mirrors were broken and it moved a little slower than normal. We didn’t take advantage of the bikes, which were also included, as they too were old and rusty. With that said, those were additional perks and did not affect our stay. Marcus was a great communicator and was a pleasure. Would highly recommend.
