We stayed here with our dogs for a weekend trip. My wife and I both work remotely, and that well for us because the WiFi was fast and strong!
We came from Ohio so it was a good 9 hour drive with stops. We arrived when it was dark and the short drive up the road where all the cabins are located, was a bit daunting. The driveway up to this cabin was even more daunting, seeing it for the first time in the moutain night. It wasnt that bad. We have an old small sedan, fwd and 200k on the clock - it made it up just fine every day. However, if you have a low profile car, it is a very steep driveway to consider the approach angle.
Our first night, we quickly knew, we did not want to leave! We arrived on a Wednesday, and were supposed to leave Sunday. Back home they were calling for a winter vortex of cold and we did not want to leave our beautiful mountain cabin and return to that. We reached out to Nancy and extended our stay until the following Wednesday. She was very easy to work with and accommodating for us.
We enjoyed our stay so much, but the biggest thing was this was our first vacation where we brought the dogs. The first day, we hiked up the mountain off the cabin, and our dogs had so much fun. One of our pups is over 10 years old, and he was running up the mountain like he was a puppy, and they both enjoyed being able to explore freely. We highly recommend Nancy's cabin and we cannot wait to come back!
