"A single overnight on a motorcycle trip. Accommodation was very comfortable and staff (Krista) was really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely with vegetarian accommodated no problem. Everything really clean and tidy with tea, coffee in room as well as shampoo & shower gel. View as you exit the font door is lovely. Would definitely stay again and recommended."
"The hotel owners/hosts, Sharon and John were very welcoming and friendly including Sharon offering to drive me to a local restaurant and later coming back to collect me. The Continental breakfast was generous, varied and more than enough to satisfy and set you up for the day!

"Unbelievably friendly assistance at check-in from Jo. I had booked the wrong set of rooms for our family of five, which she resolved in a very efficient and accommodating manner. Unexpectedly spacious rooms with gorgeous views. It beat our lofty expectations, and we will definitely hope to stay here again when we can return to Macrihanish in the future. "
"Beautiful B&B, with comfy bed, excellent pillows, absolutely excellent breakfast and lovely hosting. The whole place is immaculate.
We stayed for our first night on the Isle before heading off on the coastal way. It's a short walk from the ferry terminal and has a lovely view over the water. It was the perfect way to spend our first night and rest up / get fuelled up! "
"We loved it. I defy you not to like this place! The quad room is great if you have teens - they have their own room and there is a communal living room upstairs with netflix prime etc if they don't want to watch with you in your room. Just wonderful. Hosts very friendly and helpful as well. Great base for Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-rede rope bridge. One for the memory book! Thanks again."

The kitchen facilities include kettle, toaster and coffee machine so no opportunity to heat anything. I think a microwave would be great addition for those of us who love porridge for breakfast 😋

"I have rarely used exceptional to review a hotel but the Kames was. We travelled here from New Zealand on holiday and we only had one night but it was exceptional.
The restaurant menu is top class, the range on the menu was great and seriously 10/10. I had locally free dived seared scallops from the loch, I had the slow roasted goat shank with lentils - exceptional, and we shared a lemon tart with fresh berries. I loved the Kames and I seriously recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

"Darren View is an exceptional property and I really enjoyed my stay whilst visiting The Open golf championship. The double room with en-suite was immaculate with a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom equipped with an easy to use shower. Modern LG TV that ran my favourite apps over good WiFi. Generous tea and coffee provided with snacks daily and cold water jugs for guests in the fridge in dining area was a thoughtful touch.
