"Great little find here! Lovely pub with great atmosphere, food fab with onsite restaurant. The room was really well presented and lovely decor. My room was facing south and west on the hottest day of the year, thankfully the staff provided a fan and there was a well stocked fridge in the room too. Breakfast was continental style in the room in a lovely hamper, plus yogurts, milk and orange juice in the fridge. Would go back again when in the area. Thanks team."

"The photos on the website are nothing like the hotel itself. Some areas have been painted and the room carpet and decor are clean but the hallways smell and the carpets are ancient and worn. There is no bar, no food at all. We booked two nights and the room wasn’t serviced during our stay. The bathroom is ancient and in poor condition. The beautiful woodwork in the main areas is sticky and in need of renovation as is the whole hotel. We saw only 3 staff members during our stay all if which...

"The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

"Lovely comfortable room. We were able to check in early and given clear instructions to do this. Breakfast was ordered the evening before and it was excellent. We also had dinner the evening we arrived and really enjoyed the varied and interesting menu."

"Some sort of food scattered on the floor freezing cold bedroom felt like we were in a refrigerated room. Rail on the stairs was not safe wobbled as you held onto it. Stuff were very pleasing when we arrived. Stayed for an hour and decided to move out to somewhere more suitable the same day."
