Welcome to 98 Pheasant Tail #2! This modern mountain townhome is located in the heart of Big Sky's Town Center! This townhome features an open layout on the main floor with the kitchen, living, and dining room. The kitchen in this home is beautifully done with plenty of counter space to cook for everyone! After dinner, enjoy a movie in front of the fireplace with friends and family. 

In the Winter, this central location provides prime access to a multitude of Big Sky's winter activities! If you are looking to downhill ski, take a short ten-minute drive up the hill to Big Sky Resort, home of the "Biggest Skiing in America!" If cross country skiing is more your cup of tea, it's only a 4-minute drive to Lone Mountain Ranch to enjoy over 80 miles of world-class nordic trails. Big Sky's own skating rink is also located in Big Sky's Town Center, during the winter months. (Weather Dependent)

Enjoy all that Big Sky has to offer in the summer, with live music at the "Music in the Mountains" weekly concert series and the savory/sweet treats at the Big Sky Farmers Market. There are plenty of hiking trails that you can walk to including the Hummocks and Uplands trails. If you're in the mood for some shopping you can head to Town Center and stop by Montana Supply or some of the other shops.

This home does not have air conditioning.

Most homes in Big Sky don't, thanks to our typically mild summer temperatures. For a true Montana experience, we recommend our classic "Montana A/C": open the windows at night to let in the cool mountain air, then close them and draw the blinds first thing in the morning to keep the cool air inside throughout the remainder of the day.


Transportation to Big Sky From Bozeman Airport:
In order to experience all that Big Sky has to offer, it is helpful to have access to a vehicle during your stay. This allows you to travel seamlessly throughout the community from the Gallatin River to Lone Peak. While ride-sharing and taxi services are abundant in other communities, Big Sky remains a small town with limited options for transportation. We offer a 5% discount code to Explore Rentals for confirmed guests. They are located minutes away from the Bozeman Airport and provide 4-wheel drive vehicles with dedicated snow tires in the winter and all-season tires in the summer!

The condo was very nice. Furniture was upscale and comfortable. Pillows were ok too. Our propane tank ran out of gas during the Superbowl which wasn’t great but it was filled by the next day. Hot tub was really nice and communication with the host was excellent but I felt like the unit needed a deep clean. The kitchen light fixtures were so dirty that I crawled up on the counter to clean them myself. Other than that we had a very nice stay. Amazing location. Steps to everything. Very close to the mountain shuttle and everything going on in the town center.

Overall - we enjoyed our stay. We are frequent visitors to Big Sky and always stay up in Moonlight Basin, but decided to stay in Big Sky Town Center this season. The convenience of being off the mountain is somewhat neutralized by the quiet and the views up in Moonlight…both have their attributes. If you want walking distance to shops, coffee, restaurants and Roxy’s Market or Hungry Moose, town center is so nice. For quick access to the Gallatin and flyfishing, town center is the best. This condo was nice and as described. It was very clean and pretty comfortable, with plenty of space for the five of us. The garage had boot dryers and hooks for hanging waders, etc. All in all it was a very comfortable spot for our annual vacation.

We thoroughly loved staying at this house! It’s right in the heart of big sky, walking distance to everything! The home was very well designed and contained everything that you would possibly need from your own house. The beds are super comfortable, as are the pillows! And that’s the most important part! Cannot recommend this home enough!

My family and I (three kids and a spouse) will definitely stay at this property again. It was extremely clean and welcoming. As much as I travel, I’m still a little hesitant to stay at a new place. This property felt just like being at home. The owners were quick to respond to any question we may have had. Can’t wait to go back next year!

This property suited our family of 6 adults perfectly. Home is larger than it appears in the photos. Great location to mountain and town center. Hot tub was a welcome end to the full day of skiing. Would definately stay again. Great communication with property management.

Our group really enjoyed our stay. We take a ski trip every year and we all commented that this was the nicest place we've stayed at. It really felt like a home, not just your typical vacation rental with minimal supplies. The kitchen had everything you could want. The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. The private hot tub was a great addition and the location was perfect.

We enjoyed this property very much. The garage came in clutch. It’s a nice luxury to be able to load up indoors. The garage door is probably about 9’ tall and therefore my Yukon could fit inside with the Thule on the roof. Additionally, the home is large. Could have easily accommodated two families rather than just ours. Although the TV is placed in a small nook area its mount allows for it to be pulled off the wall and can be seen all the way from the kitchen. The shopping area is about 300 yards from the front door which is an easy walk in any weather conditions. The small grocery store has many options but does sell through the inventory so if you see something then buy it.
