"Beautifully restored hotel with great views from the top floors. Rooms are huge and well appointed. Restaurant was just ok and did not go to bar. Interesting little town and lots to explore nearby."

"The room was clean, supplied well and was perfect for gorgeous views of the sunset, stars and mountains. It had a nice fire pit but a burn ban prevented us from using it. We still used the chairs for the desert and mountain views at night. The shared kitchen was perfect for a quick breakfast. All in all, I wasn’t ready to leave when y was time to leave 10 bits! I would recommend to anyone headed to Big Bend. "

"The views are spectacular! From sunset fires, stargazing, or sunrise with coffee in hand, there’s no time of day you can’t be in awe of the vistas.The kitchen space is a great shared area. Lots of room for individual family units to store cold goods & even with rotating use of the area, no one seemed to be in any one’s way - all guests we encountered were more than happy to coordinate schedules or share stove space. "

"We visited our grandson in San Angelo. The Lone Star House was excellent. Not a single complaint. Great location, very clean, bathroom and kitchen were well stocked and great communication with owner. I would stay here again and again when we come to the area.
