Beautiful views, decent home, poor management
My family and I rent cabins in big bear about 3 times a year and have been for the past 4 years, typically our experience is great, but this one was different. Management did not send any check-in information, I called and they were unaware of my booking. Some notable issues when we arrived: Outdoor barbecue broken and laying on the ground, stairway lights not working, outdoor light fixtures broken/missing, ants all throughout main living area, all 4 bar stools missing bolts and unstable, 1 of 6 dining chairs completely broken on the back resulting in our 3 year old falling back out of her chair, dirty floors with no vacuum or dust pan on premises, no dish towels or even dish washing sponge available. I reached out to property management to ask if there was a vacuum on site and he replied "no where on the listing does it say the house has a vacuum" and then I called him to let him know about the other concerns about the home and he texted me back saying "I'm at lunch give me 30 min and I can call you back" and of course, no call came back. A very defensive argument ensued. I asked to refund the following two nights, management reported he would not cancel or refund, we ended up leaving and booking another rental for the following two nights.
