"Lovely stay, so quiet, peaceful, ideal location to get to all the areas of interest. You really are out in nature in all its glory, with besutiful views. My lungs have never felt so clear! Coming from London, its truly the best place for some much needed peace and quiet with no pollution, and a really slowed down pace. Staff are friendly, helpful, but not overbearing, which is great. "Well portioned for easy access to all travel and walking. Stunning views of surrounding mountains. However the village seemed abit run down and dinning opportunities limited. We would suggest the Royal Sportsman hotel for dinning. As we have visited it before and the food and service was excellent. "

"Fabulous hotel with wonderful William Morris wallpaper and tasteful decor. Our room– room 2, was enormous, with a gigantic, very comfy bed, a wonderful view across the valley, including the railway, and a large victorian style bathroom with a standalone bath with shower over. An excellent breakfast was included in the very reasonable price and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again."
