Beautiful, waterfront Log Cabin on very private, ranch. Relax Off-grid!

Only 8kms off the highway, on good roads, it seems you're a million miles away. Our place is a quiet, 200 acre ranch, in a natural paradise. Only private property on the lake.

Small town nearby for basics. 45min to 2 larger towns with all amenities. Completely private, waterfront with misc very friendly livestock on site. With only 2 cabins, 80m apart, enjoy your own little world. Or vacation with friends, host a wedding or family reunion! If renting both cabins, we allow RV's/tents with your party for a small fee.

The space
The cabin is on our working ranch but is very private, located right on the waterfront, out of eye sight of our home and 80m away from the only other cabin. We are the only private property on Helena Lake so it is an incredibly quiet, idyllic setting. There is excellent year-round rainbow trout fishing, hiking, canoeing and endless opportunities for wildlife viewing. In winter there is great ice fishing, cross country skiing & snowmobiling. Nearby Mt.Timothy is fun all year round with great skiing in winter and e-bike rentals and bike trail network in summer. 99 Mile X Country ski trails are great winter fun, rentals available at the lodge.

Your cabin has a king-sized bed and a small couch for relaxing. Lakefront deck with chairs and firepit area. The cabin is totally off-grid. There are solar lights inside and outside the cabin, sink with fresh water jug, cooler with ice provided and BBQ (propane included). USB charging available in cabin for small accessories. Relas in front of the woodstove (wood provided). Swim & dish towels, linens, dinner ware, cutlery, glasses, mugs, cast iron pan and bbq tools provided. Very clean, hand milled outhouse (dunny/drop toilet) with twinkly lights just steps from the cabin.

Fresh drinking water, flashlights, candles, wood for wood stove and bonfire provided. Lie in bed and look at the lake out the picture window from your king size bed. Coffee, tea, oil, hot chocolate & sugar complimentary.
Just a short walk from the cabin, We have a small, fully powered kitchenette for guest use with toaster, microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, kettle & basic cookware provided for guest use. There is laundry and a shower there too. Towels, shampoo, soap, hair dryer and laundry detergent provided.

Guest access
Guests have their own waterfront/beach area, fire pit with chairs and picnic table. Canoe, paddleboard, kayak, paddles and life jackets provided complimentary. Snowshoes provided in winter complimentary for trekking.

Reasonable cellular signal at cabin area. Wifi not available at the cabin, but complimentary up at main ranch area and guest kitchenette. Electrical outlets provided in kitchenette to charge devices.

We have cows, sheep, livestock dogs, rabbits, barn cats, chickens, ducks, peafowl and horses. Everyone is very, very friendly and enjoy guest attention. Guests are encouraged to walk around and interact with the animals, please close gates behind you and respect private family area near our home.

Other things to note
There are 6 large, very friendly livestock guardian dogs on the property roaming free 24/7 to protect free roaming livestock - so the cabin is not suitable for pets or children.

Farm fresh local foods often available for purchase in the kitchenette if interested.
