The space
Our thoughtfully remodeled, 2-bedroom home is in the heart of Bar Harbor's fun-filled downtown. This fabulously appointed second-floor apartment boasts a private entrance and a primary bedroom with a cozy seating area overlooking Cottage Street, which makes for a perfect place for your morning cup of coffee. It also features an in-unit washer and dryer, a full kitchen with a dining area, a granite-topped island, stainless appliances, air conditioning, a propane fireplace, and more.

Your home away from home contains all you need for a comfortable getaway once you've seen all the gorgeous local natural attractions. New kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms; everything has been completely remodeled and is sparkling clean, using enhanced cleaning procedures.

Bedroom 2: Queen Bed, Organic Cotton Sheets, Roll-away twin bed with linens

Living Room: "L" shaped Couch, 50" Smart TV, Propane Fireplace

Bathroom: Oversized subway tile shower, gold fixtures, and rainfall showerhead

Kitchen: New cabinets with white granite countertops, mixed metal finishes, stainless appliances, and all the cooking and dining essentials for meals up to 6.
Guest access
Our unit is centrally located in the fun, lively heart of town, in the center of dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops. As such, some street noise is unfortunately unavoidable, especially in peak season. While we have never had trouble, exceptionally light sleepers may prefer the 2nd, off-street bedroom.

**Complimentary breakfast is available during restaurant hours, mid-May to mid-October.
Other things to note
PLEASE NOTE: OFF-SITE FREE parking is available. It is a 10-minute walk from the apartment.

Cancellation Policy:
100% refund (minus a $35 non-refundable processing fee) if the reservation is canceled at least 60 days before the arrival date.
50% refund if the reservation is canceled at least 30 days before the arrival date.

Amazing location

Loved the apartment! Location is great, walk everywhere. The included breakfast was very nice and loved just walking downstairs to one of the best in town. Things to note-central/convenience has a price-Main bedroom is on the Cottage St side with lots of action including bars with live bands. Suggest earplugs or use your phone for brown noise if you go to bed before midnight. The breakfast place is not open at night(nice) but opens at 6 am. From the main bedroom every time the businessā€™s front door closes it sounds and feels like it slams, shaking the wall/glasses. The back bedroom also hears the music from the restaurant . If youā€™re an early riser, no problem. We did suggest to the restaurant that they get a soft close door. Compared to other rentals I saw, this is definitely one of the best. All things considered I would definitely stay again.

My family of 6 spent 3 days in Bar Harbor and Acadia. This apartment couldn't have been a more perfect spot for us. We loved the location, the friendly breakfast each morning and the host was great. Highly recommend!!

Everything you hope a rental will be. Clean, centrally located, no long check out chore list. The free parking was a half mile (pleasant) walk but that was well communicated. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Easy from start to finish!

Great unit in the center of Bar Harbor

This is a lovely 2 BR unit in the heart of Bar Harbor. Wonderfully furnished and spacious. My only issue is that it is so conveniently located, that you can hear the music and singing from nearby bars quite late at night. But, a great place and I'd go back.

First Anniversary

My husband and I had a wonderful stay for our first anniversary. Bar Harbor is a beautiful town and this VRBO is located directly in the middle of it all. The location was perfect for walking to food, shops, the pier, and most importantly, the Island Explorer bus stops. Although a little pricey, it was tidy, warm and had everything we needed in the kitchen and extra bedding for snuggling up.

Nice roomy apartment. The hosts addressed the noise issue to some extent but the noise is actually DEAFENING at night - from the bar across the street to the street cleaners & semis that roll through starting at 0445!! Also, the front bedroom is bright as day at night due to lack of room darkening shades. The location is great - right downtown but the lack of sleep doesnā€™t make up for it.

Outstanding location!

We had the best time staying at this rental property! We were there over the 4th of July and watched the parade from the front bedroom windows, it was so much fun. Absolutely incredible location in the heart of town - but along with the location came some challenges including no dedicated parking and some noise from the nearby bars at night. The property had beautiful natural light, but that also meant it was bright in the mornings. We ended up returning our rental car early to not deal with parking once we were finished with our hiking days and spent the rest of the time walking since we could walk anywhere in town easily. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

The property was beautiful, great lighting from the skylights, and great location. The only problem with this property is parking. A parking permit is provided, but there was never a spot available in the designated areas. We had to pay for parking daily by the hour at the Pay for Parking kiosks.

Cottage Street Gem

Let me just start by saying that you really canā€™t find a better location to stay in Bar Harbor. When I say that you are really in the thick of it, all, I mean that you are truly in the thick of it all. Cottage Street? Say less. Location is by far one of the main selling points of booking this property, but at the end of the day itā€™s the comfort, amenities, and aesthetic of the apartment that sets the standard even more so. The intentional decorating, beautifully remodeled space, and home away from home environment that Mandy has built really leaves guests feeling like this is their home. I know there are some reviews about sound being an "issue" but this is a non-factor when you consider exactly where youā€™re staying ā€” in the thick of it all, right in the heart of downtown. You can walk everywhere, thereā€™s a lovely, modern restaurant downstairs that has Mandyā€™s personal flair blessed all over it, a pub across the street, and even karaoke two doors down on certain nights. Walkability? 100/10. Huge thank you to Mandy for making this possible, Iā€™d love to stay there again when I donā€™t have to come for work.

Beautiful Unit in Great Location

This was one of the nicest vacation rentals my husband and I have stayed in. Luxurious furnishings and beautiful decor. Walked to everything. As per other reviews, the street noise is there; however, it didn't really bother us. (Back bedroom was definitely quieter.) Communication with owner was great. I'd recommend figuring the parking situation out prior to arrival. It was pouring that day so was a bit hectic but it all worked out. Would highly recommend this unit to anyone.
