My wife and I celebrated our 30 year anniversary at Sugar Mt. and our daughter joined us for skiing. So 1st of all, our primary mission was skiing and I want to address this location as I could not really see anything discussed in the description or reviews. This home is about a football field slightly down hill from the Summit Lift exit. (Which is the very top of the mountain!!) The walk to the slopes is pretty easy, but from there if you want to ski down a blue slope, you'll need to walk another 50 yards up hill to reach the Northridge trail, or you can ski down Tom Terrific but its a Black Diamond. You can't really ski into the condo unless there is fresh snow, but we got about 6-8 inches
mid week and could glide right to the Condo entrance.
Believe what they say about 4x4 or chains. The road is very steep and with 6 inches I saw vehicles all over the place. My front wheel drive with Z-Cables worked fine.
The Condo is spacious, large bedrooms and baths, very nicely appointed all around; Kitchen, Bedding, Furnishings, etc. The views are just magnificent and gas fireplace is great and will keep thing toasty even when its 10 degrees outside.
The few complaints I had were nothing really, just annoying. The Ice maker did not work so we bought a bag. My daughter said the foldaway was pretty uncomfortable, so we just laid the mattress on the floor. For a rental there are way too many decorative pillows on the beds and sofas and we just piled them in the corner. For such a huge deck, some comfortable chairs or adirondack chairs, and maybe a hammock or swing would be so much better than just the 2 bar stools alone. I know these are a big deal but would make it a perfect stay in our opinion.
We would definitely return and maybe in the fall next time.
