Our second time at this property and we loved it again! The home is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen and the baths are great. Lots of equipment in the kitchen and the bathrooms are really top level. Access to the large back deck from every bedroom and the covered portion of the deck is great and has amazing views of the Grandfather that makes Grandfather Mountain. The location is convenient to most High Country activities (within 30 minutes max) and super convenient to Sugar Mountain and Banner Elk. Easy in and out and, while a bit of road noise, very peaceful and relaxing. We will plan to stay here again in the future.

This is a modern, well appointed house. Furnishings were high quality and stylish. The big, beautiful kitchen and living area were fantastic for family and friends to gather. Bathrooms are spacious and modern as well. We especially enjoyed the “Giant” set of Uno playing cards. The binder with information on the local area was probably the most thorough that I have seen. My family and I love traveling to the Boone / Banner Elk / Sugar Mountain, and this house is in our top 2, if not our #1.

Pontos positivos: Localização
Beautifully modern home with an excellent heating/cooling system. It was immaculate, nice views, very convenient to grocery. Enjoyed the hot tub. Very large TV. Well stocked kitchen with great utensils, bowls, kitchen aid mixer, and knives for cooking, full ice maker, fantastic gas range. Well thought out supplies. Some smaller pans were quite unusable, poor condition. Plenty of others to cook with. Beds, pillows, linens were all top of the line. Would definitely stay here longer the next time. Bring your own hair products.

Very nice home! The renovations were done well, excellent view of Grandfather Mtn. We did not use the fireplace, hot tub or grill, so I cannot comment on those. (We would have used the fireplace if it had been gas logs, but did not want to go to the trouble of buying wood and building a fire). Overall we would stay there again.

Absolutely beautiful quality home in a great location! Clean and spectacular views. We will absolutely be returning. Our only complaint is that the bunks were low quality and flimsy and we’re hoping they are upgraded for the next time. Seems peculiar since the rest of the house was extremely high quality in all of its features. Still highly recommend this house!

Beautiful home!!!

Really nice and very clean home, we would definitely rent again. It needs a few more kitchen utensils but guessing it is a newer rental so that will happen. One of the nicer VRBO homes we have ever rented, and we do so often. Great location for quickly getting to the ski hill as well. Excellent house!

House was great. Kitchen well stocked, beds comfortable, batrooms updated and good hot water for showers/ baths. Hot tub was outstandind after ski and tubing days. Would highly recommend. Oh yeah the smoke alarm ran out of batteries at 2:00 am on the first night which resulted in a call to the emergency number. We eventually agreed to remove the batteries and unplug that unit to stop the countinual chirping. Despite the assurance that someone would be there in the morning to fix the smoke alarm, no one ever came.

Pontos negativos: Check-in
The cabin was great. It had all the amenities for a nice stay. A few comments I had, the back guest room was near the security lights for the house and kept flipping on and off all night. We could not sleep in that room at all. Probably needs some black out shades or adjust the sensitivity of the distance. Also the digital log in didn’t work when we first got there, and when we left at 9:50, 10 minutes before check out, it also did not work. Maybe the electronics froze because of the weather. That was an inconvenience when we got there and left. Other than those two things, it was a great stay.

The view was beautiful, it was a perfect location to the slopes, grocery store and restaurants. The only negative thing I would say is the master shower drain needs to be looked at. We look forward to coming back soon.

Great Property. Many positives on this one!

Loved this property. Single level made things so easy. The kitchen is huge and is very well stocked with just about everything. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are very nicely appointed, particularly the primary suite bath. A stupendous view of Grandfather Mountain from nearly every room. The circular drive was great and made coming and going very easy. Very near to Sugar Mountain and all of its activities. Short drives to Valle Crucis and Banner Elk as well. The only negative I would state is that they need to upgrade their outdoor deck furnishings. Not nearly enough seating for a house with space for 10 guests.

Exceptional Home!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful long weekend with our kids and grandkids at Sugar Grand. The location was convenient to so many activities and the grocery was only 5 minutes away. The home was so comfortable and we especially enjoyed the open living area so we could all be together without being on top of one another. The porch with the view of Grandfather Mountain was fabulous and the furniture (not in the pics) was just as needed for coffee in the mornings and adult beverages in the evenings. We all enjoyed the hot tub too! The only thing we found missing was a can opener LOL! We hope to return to enjoy being together in this home again soon.

Weekend fun

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was the perfect spot for a weekend of snowboarding at Beech Mountain! The interior of this home was so tastefully decorated even my son and his friends were excited to stay! The sectional was perfect for movie night and afternoon snoozing! The bedroom accommodations worked out great. The mattresses and bedding were a great addition to a comfy nights sleep. However, the hot tub took the cake. After a long day of being on the slopes, it was a welcome end of the day treat! The kitchen was my favorite! My only suggestion in terms of the kitchen, would be to replace sauté pans and frying pans. There was not a pan available to cook eggs because the Teflon coating was peeling away which is not ideal. We ended up baking the eggs in the oven. There was only one metal spatula so those items may need to be added as well.Overall, this property was exactly what I was hoping for in terms of space and design. Most times you see old, outdated homes where the furniture looks like hand me downs and afterthoughts. This was not the case with this home! We will definitely be back and can’t wait to book again!
