Less than 4 miles south, the fishing village of Seahouses has a bustling harbour where boats offer trips to the nearby Farne Islands, a haven for puffins and seals, while dolphins often swim in the surrounding waters. World famous for its medieval religious heritage and 16th-century castle, Lindisfarne – also known as Holy Island – is a 15-mile drive from Bamburgh and can be reached, when the tides permit, via a paved causeway.


Around a mile from Bamburgh Castle, this beautiful holiday home is one of the original Armstrong Cottages and boasts an idyllic seaside location.
