Go to this Lost River Luxury cabin and get all the amenities, including high speed Internet if you need to keep doing Zoom calls/work. A two level mountain cabin with two levels of wrap around deck to view nature. Sit in the trees and watch the hummingbirds feed, the family of deer stroll by and perhaps a bear sighting. With approximately 90 miles from DC, you can get access to a tranquil setting a world away in the Wonderful Wild West Virginia.

Two hours away from the hustle and bustle of Washington DC with a spacious premium cabin that you can telework or explore what the region has to offer. With its proximity to Wardensville, Cacapon and Lost rivers, George Washington National Forest and Lost River State Park, it lends itself to all outdoor activities including hiking, climbing, kayaking and nature watching. The property has 10 acres that you can do your own hike in the backyard but be careful-there are bears!

With three bedrooms all with their own full en suite, come with your family with continued privacy or a few couples eager to get away. There is an office that can also be converted into a baby room as well as ample room for air mattresses. Get wild and sleep in the screen house for total forest bathing.

Terrific getaway!!!!

It was everything we hoped it would be. The house was absolutely gorgeous!!! Clean, roomy, and a fantastic game closet!!! Sitting out on one of the wrap around porches was as close to nature as you can get. Trails and kayaking close enough to spend the whole day.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this house. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and 3 dogs to hang around and enjoy each other's company. The cabin is nicely decorated, the furniture is comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked for all of our cooking (we cooked every meal). The fully-gated wraparound deck on the second floor was great for letting our dogs hang around outside all-day, and we made good use of the grill! However, we did have some issues with the cleanliness of the house (the carpet in one of the bedrooms is heavily stained and the "screen house" was entirely caked in a layer of dirt and pollen, so we didn't use it at all) and we had issues with two of the four toilets not functioning properly. To Stacey's (the owner) credit, she sent her maintenance person out to the house to repair one of the toilets, but he was unable to repair the other one so we ended up not using it if we could help it. Also, while the hot tub is nice and we did use it, the water wasn't as sanitized as I would have liked (it needed to be shocked). We just got the feeling that the house had sat dormant for a while and that it wasn't fully ready for guests. Again, we ultimately enjoyed our time there, and Stacey was helpful, but I can't say that we will be returning.

Beautiful home! The host was incredible and very accommodating and weā€™re grateful for all the help we received during our stay. We had a nice relaxing time and a lot of activities to do. The hot tub was definitely our favorite thing.Def would come back!The only issues were small: the hot tub enclosureā€™s light bulbs were out and one of the doorsā€™ lock to the outside didnā€™t work.

GORGEOUS space to relax

The pictures barely do the house justice - the living spaces are HUGE, and the wraparound porch on the second floor has beautiful views. Less than two hours from DC, even with a little traffic. We would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful property

The cabin was beautiful. The area was so peaceful. Loved the open concept of the living room,dining and kitchen. And best of all they allowed us to bring our fur babies. The top deck is wrap around and is gated so our dogs could run around. The only thing that would have made it perfect is if there was a fenced area for the dogs to run and play ball.

Family fall getaway

We were extremely impressed with Lost River Luxury Cabin! It exceeded our expectations! The house had every amenity you could need. We loved having the fire wood stacked outside our door ready for a cozy evening sitting on a huge comfortable learner couch in front of the crackling flames. They even had an extended utensil to toast marshmallows for some Smores! The interior was decorated very tastefully and the construction is superb! One of our best VRBO stays and weā€™ve been to quite a few! Location was very private and relaxing with a wonderful view.

Lovely home. Hosts were very responsive when we had problems with the air conditioning and did everything they could to resolve the situation. The "Lost" Weekend

My friends and I were planning a getaway to reconnect and heal together. We have been friends for 30 years and had each suffered our own personal nightmares recently. It was going to be the first time we would all be in the same room in 8 years. We stumbled upon this beautiful house on VRBO and decided to go for it. Stacey responded promptly to our request to stay as well as to every question. The house was clean, comfortable and elegant. There was very little that we needed to leave the house for. In the end, our crew traveled from Illinois, New York and Florida to reconnect and found home together once more. Thank you Stacey! Your home was warmly welcoming, comfortably elegant and perfectly positioned. We looked at the scenery day in and day out. It was excellent.

Lost River Get-a-way

Three of us, all in our late 50's and friends since high school, spent a long weekend at the cabin and we all loved it. We took advantage of the hot tub after enjoying some hiking in the Lost River State Park. Everything was great and all three of us agree agree that we wouldn't hesitate to return again. Just wonderful

This cabin is so spacious and comfortable. This was our second stay and both vacations were amazing. Stacey and her husband were kind enough to plow the driveway and help out with some television technical issues! Thank you so much. For me, there is nothing better than snuggling up with my favorite man and watching a great movie. The kitchen is well equipped and the gas stove is the best to cook on. The bed was comfortable and the gas fireplace just adds not only warmth, but ambience. Finally, Stacey, thank you for your patience and help with my reservation making! I appreciate it.

Great family time

This cabin was perfect for our family trip. It's pretty big, so everyone had their own space and privacy. The living room with fireplace was a great place to gather together and have a meal. Everything is very clean. The kitchen has anything you might need for cooking/grilling/baking. the kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The host was really fast to get back to me. Overall, we had a great stay and would return again.

Annual Thanksgiving Trip

The cabin is in a great location and was very clean when we arrived. Check in instructions and departure instructions were very clear and easy to follow. My family and I spent a great week together playing games and decompressing from our busy lives. The dogs enjoyed roaming free and stretching their legs in the picturesque mountains. We had everything needed to prepare all of our meals. Loved the gas and wood fireplaces for their warmth and ambiance. I especially enjoyed the hot tub with a good cigar and whiskey. Just remember to let the hot tub heat up before getting in. It takes some time. Stacy was very quick to respond to our requests. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Wonderful West Virginia Week-end
