"We had a great time at The Ruse. This was the best stay we had on our California road trip! Every member of the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The groundskeeper, both front desk workers, and chef for breakfast specially went above and beyond to make sure our stay was incredible. "

"They don’t provide slippers like other four stars hotel. It’s more like Airbnb, but overall I like the vibe and the beautiful garden. The breakfast was good, esp. the scramble eggs."

"What we liked most was the staff was very friendly. The parking and pool area not inviting at all. Nothing was kept crisp and clean.The surroundings of the parking lot needs more coverage from the neighbors."

"We very much enjoyed our stay! As fellow creatives, it was fun to be immersed in a Big Art Project that we learned about during the home gallery tour. It was the perfect place to spend the night with our local friends nearby. The hummingbirds and fish in the pond entertained us out of our bedroom window. "

"Gravenstein Cottage is cozy and quiet. We enjoyed Mark's amazing pastries delivered to us each morning, walking among giant redwoods at Armstrong Grove, and along the coast at Shell Beach. A wonderful time."

"A highly recommendable place with great atmosphere, comfortable bed, clean rooms and outstanding breakfast. Perfect for relaxing at the porch, fire place, hot tub or sauna after a long day of visiting wineries. "
