Communication with host was less than ideal. I had to ask for the address and check in information and was told that I would get the check-in information 1 hour before check-in. Part of that info made us verify our identity to receive that info which is very hard to do while driving in Atlanta traffic. This should have been able to be done prior to travel. I understand not getting a code until check-in time, but the rest of the stuff should have been communicated earlier. I also had to ask for check out instructions as we were leaving early in the morning. The host did respond relatively quickly so that was appreciated, but it was frustrating not being able to get info in a timely manner. Also, not until we got there, did we realize that the basement was being rented. This should have been disclosed as we were 4 women traveling alone and very uncomfortable with the fact that someone was in the basement and potentially had access to the house. The door to the basement was deadbolted, but the key part was on our side. I had no idea if the other side of the deadbolt was also a key or if they could simply just open the door to where we were. The house was very nice and clean, but I wish things were disclosed and communication was better.
