"Lovely old building. Staff were excellent, helpful and cheerful. Very nice breakfasts, didn't dine there in the evening, so can't comment on the evening meals. Having parking to the rear was most useful, but has limited number of spaces. Only "negative" was being a very old property the stairs were a bit of a challenge if you are on the top floor."

"Highly recommended. Faultless. The staff deserve a special mention as they are excellent in all respects. An example is Carol who warmly greets you at breakfast and is a joy. Both breakfast and dinner were very good and the bar and terrace area is spacious with fantastic west facing views. The hotel is spectacularly located high up above the Wye Valley with a wide panorama. Many of the bedrooms benefit from these wonderful views. A great place to stay for exploring this beautiful area."

"Quartos velhos, mal descorados, mobilia antiga e meio suja. No quarto 19 a separacao entre quartos e feita com pladour e tive que abandonar o hotel a 1 da manha devido a ouvir-se o ocupante do quarto ao lado a ressonar. Mesmo apos varios avisos o ruido do ressonar era tao alto abandonei o hotel. Os quartos nao tem separacao acustica uns dos outros."

"Thank you for an Absolutely a fantastic stay, the room is a good size with every amenity and extra luxury touches, you want for nothing. Breakfast was fantastic, cooked well and fresh and plenty. The bed is huge and soft. And the hosts themselves couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome Would definitely stay again"

"I think this was the best Holiday Inn Express we have stayed in, and we’ve stayed in a lot world wide . Great welcome, room spacious and clean. A nice area to sit in in the evening, food was available and lots of people were eating, we just had a glass of wine . Breakfast was really good, great selection, fresh and good variety . Friendly helpful staff, great location, quiet, good value for money, what more can you ask for ? Thank you x"

"The food was nice, the staff were friendly however the hotel itself is on the main Hereford road and the noise all night was really loud and therefore we had 2 nights of unrest and no sleep. Unfortunately this would stop us going again"

"Nice hotel, rooms are big for English standards and very close to supermarket, shops, etc. Parking is not free but was charged only 5GBP for day, so that was ok. The only downside was that we were traveling with a lot of bags and they do not have an elevator, anyway, they have only 2 floors so we had to go only one flour up. Overall nice stay with no issues."

"The best thing about this hotel is the location which is fantastic, and the staff were very nice. We stayed in the Oak Suite which is apparently the best room; it benefits from a private terrace with a pair of easy chairs to watch the river and it's occupancy go by, which is lovely. For me it definitely wasn't a four star, but a fair three star hotel. There was a temporary kitchen which also hampered them as well as the view. The room was clean and airy with a (strangely grubby!)Juliet balcony...

"The bathroom was visibly not clean, the normal cleaning had not been done for the next guest, the rest met expectations."

"The hotel is nice but there was a significant amount of damage to the shower that had been patched over years and a lot of black mould from very poor cleaning. Breakfast was mostly good although the eggs Benedict wasn’t so good."

"A clean, well maintained, and picturesque hotel in a lovely location. Reception staff and bar staff were helpful and friendly, the restaurant was a little more chaotic with missed food orders, unable to answer questions about food, and dropping used breakfast cutlery in our laps causing us to have to change clothes. The room was fine, although somewhat basic lacking any standout touches. The iron provided was fairly useless and caused brown stains on my white shirt the morning of attending a...

"My room was super clean and tidy with everything you may need. All the staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. Private parking just outside my room. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. I ate dinner here which was simply supeb"
