At DuPont Forest - Newer cabin designed for relaxation and comfort.

Shoal Sound is located on DuPont Road with easy access to the miles of trails and breathtaking waterfalls of DuPont Forest. We are only 10 miles from downtown Brevard and Hendersonville. The cabin offers all you could need to relax or rest after a day of adventure. We have WIFI, Smart TV with local TV stream app, comfortable beds and a large porch to just sit and relax

Bedroom one has a king size bed with a comfortable mattress and linens, smart TV, Grandmas wardrobe closet, and an antique dresser. The ensuite bathroom is spacious and has a walk in shower.

Bedroom two has two twin beds with comfortable mattresses and linens. The second bathroom is just outside the door.

The living and dining area features a gas log fireplace, large entertainment center containing games, books, and a large smart TV.

The kitchen has all the features you would want and expect have to make your stay like being at home. All appliances are new - large refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, farm sink, granite counter tops, coffee maker, Keurig, and microwave. If something is missing, let us know, and we'll get it. We spared no expense to create a beautiful kitchen for you to enjoy.

The porches are sure to be a favorite of guests. Listen to the sound of Shoal Falls from the swing or rockers. We even put a dining table on the porch for you to enjoy the surroundings. A small porch off the back has a small table and a park style charcoal grill.

Everything about this place was great! The hosts have taken great care to make it a true home away from home. The outdoor beauty is phenomenal … from watching the sun rise above the mountain to a million stars in the night sky, one couldn’t feel closer to heaven. There were tons of places to explore, hike and enjoy nature. The town of Hendersonville has an abundance of good restaurants and shops. Five star for sure!

My husband and I had such a wonderful time. The house was perfect. We walked in and saw an exquisitely clean home. Since my husband and I love coffee, we especially like the coffee bar. I walk barefoot and no matter where I walked my feet did not pick up anything. I forgot to bring napkins and paper towels— but, no worries, there was a start up supply. Who would notice the flowers in the window box on the back window — I did. The extra touches were great. We were blessed with a full moon and the porch was the perfect place to enjoy it. We are technology handicapped, but we got immediate help with the fire place. The area had so many wonderful places - within driving distance — to explore Five stars is not sufficient for this diamond in the rough. We got a “ big bang” for our buck. Thank you to our tremendous host.

This was truly the nicest VRBO rental we've ever stayed in. It was spotless, well appointed, and a beautifully designed property. And the night stars! There were a million visible each night. I cannot recommend this property enough.

Super cute and comfortable cabin! Very clean, tastefully decorated, and the hosts Connie and David are fantastic, very responsive to all communication, and have provided every thing you may need….and then some! Location is quiet and central to Brevard and Hendersonville (for dining, groceries, etc) and close to multiple waterfall hikes around the area. When we weren’t out exploring all that the area has to offer, we loved relaxing on the front porch and listening to the waterfall nearby! Highly recommend this home and property!

This was our second stay at the cabin. It was as wonderful as we remembered it. Perfect location between Brevard and Hendersonville, comfortable and clean accommodations, and the porch is a great spot for waiting out an afternoon storm or counting fireflies in the evening. Wonderful stay!

Cabin is quaint and cozy with all the modern amenities. We were very comfortable with four people and it was so nice to be tucked away but still close to trails, waterfalls, and Brevard. Owners are very easy to talk to and resolved one small issue very quickly. Loved our time here. We hope to be back!

Perfect Getaway! We can't wait to return!

This cabin had everything we could want and more! The property was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with so many extra touches that made our stay even more special, from river towels for our adventures to a firepit perfect for evening s’mores. We loved relaxing on the porch swing and rocking chairs, especially listening to the peaceful sound of rain on the tin roof in the afternoons. Every detail was just right, and we truly enjoyed every moment. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful Getaway

I surprised my husband with a 2 night stay for his birthday. We hiked, relaxed, dined on the porch, and felt like we were able to escape while at Shoal Sound. The accommodations were perfect - clean, spacious, homey, and comfortable! Bonus- The weather was amazing.
