Enjoy resort amenities in a log home setting. Located in Cedar Mountain NC just minutes south of Brevard, we are situated on just over 40 acres with a two bold mountain streams and a waterfall marking our northern border and a 35 undeveloped acres to our east. The stream closest to the cabin has a small beach and wading pool perfe
ct for an afternoon picnic. The fenced back yard offers security for young children or pets. You will enjoy complete privacy and seclusion in our mountain retreat! Located in the middle of activities for a range of interests: Easy access to Dupont State Park and Caesars Head park in South Carolina. Sherwood Forest Golf course is only two miles away and Brevard, with its music center, great restaurants and shopping is ten minutes to the north. Hendersonville is approximately 15 minutes away making Amos Acres the center of your Blue Ridge experience!



Relax on the front porch and watch the deer every morning and evening or enjoy the sound of the waterfall on the back porch while cooking on the grill. Amos Acres is fully equipped to insure a pleasant stress-free vacation experience. The cabin is decorated with paintings, pottery and baskets from local artisans to complete your western Carolina experience. Walk in showers make the bathrooms user-friendly. Both bathrooms have been recently updated. New windows, doors and refinished floors make this great rental just that much nicer!

This beautiful place was perfect for my weekend getaway plans. We brought our pups and the little waterfall was stunning. Being 10ish minutes from DuPont was really cool and this place will always hold a special place in our hearts as this is where I proposed to my girlfriend. 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay! We traveled with our little dog, Alfie, and absolutely loved the beautiful and tranquil setting. We even saw deer during our visit! The fenced-in yard was perfect for Alfie, and he enjoyed it as much as we did. The location was great—close to hiking trails, waterfalls, Hendersonville, and Brevard. Highly recommend!

Amazingly peaceful

We stayed here for five days with our two German Sheps and absolutely loved it. First of all, this is the most well stocked rental I think we have ever stayed in, especially kitchen supplies. The proximity to hiking was fantastic, with several excellent hikes in DuPont State Park literally minutes away. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and playing fetch while we enjoyed a fire and the peaceful surroundings. We did make it down to the creek and waterfall on the property, which was beautiful in spite of the downed trees from Helene. All in all an amazing place to stay (one caution: if you HAVE to have high speed or even medium speed WiFi, this is not for you. We didn’t really use the satellite tv but it seemed good) and we will be back.

Peaceful and secluded

We love this location. We liked the paths that run along the creek behind the house. Having a fenced yard was helpful with our own dogs. The house was comfortable. Kitchen was well equipt. Gas grill was ready to go when we wanted burgers. Deer came by one evening. We would recommend this property.

Beautiful! We had a great time here. Our dog loved running around and exploring while we relaxed on the double swing. We enjoyed mountain biking at DuPont which is so close! Brevard has some excellent restaurants (we went to wild morel and cedar mtn outpost) and is such a cute little town. We cooked in the fully stocked kitchen. We asked for a late check out and that worked out. We would love to come back some time!

We loved our time at Amos Acres, perfect location for mountain bike riding, hiking and water falls! We also took time out for rest, relaxation and loved that our puffers could play in the fenced in back yard. The sound of the stream and waterfall is so calming. I was so happy to finally see a white squirrel, lol!!Can’t wait to be able to visit again.

Best rental property I have ever been to!

I rented this property for a mountain trip with my husband, my son and our two pups. Everything was super clean, the beds were extremely comfortable and the yard is amazing. I searched for a fenced in yard for the dogs and I’m so happy we found this place! Our dogs definitely had the time of their lives running around the huge yard and going down the trail with us to the waterfall. We would d love to rent again if we return to the area!

The Ghost Fireflys

We have been wanting to see the ghost firefly’s and haven’t won any of the lottery’s so we decided to search on our own and we were in the middle of the area where they had been seen. Fawn lake and Terra Nova and DuPont State park are all good locations to search. We found one and we plan to return next year.

Beautiful

This cabin is so peaceful, we had an amazing tume exploring the waterwafll and hanging out by the creek. We did a firepit every night, and when it rained we got to hangout at the patio listening to music and watching rain. Little town Brevard is so cute, locals are super nice

Scenic property

Just as described, lovely grounds, comfortable house had everything we needed for a nice relaxing weekend. Really appreciated the fenced yard for the dog and the glassed in back porch was really nice . Not too far from downtown Brevard and we were glad to have the informative notebook, so helpful! Wish we’d had more time and a chance to use the firepit but we had a nice stay .

Private and Wonderful Dog Friendly House

My wife and I, and our Rough Coated Collie, completely enjoyed this great house! The house is well equipped, clean, comfortable, and secluded and met our needs very well. The large fenced backyard was a great feature for our Collie to play in. This was our third visit to this house and are looking forward to another stay. Mountain Bliss

This was our fourth trip to this beautiful property, and our second in autumn. It’s a joy any time of year, but we enjoyed the cooler fall weather for outside fires in the solo stove & chai lattes from the Cedar Mountain Outpost just down the road. Our dog loves the big backyard to play in! Quiet and peaceful, with wildlife visitors (we saw the white squirrels every day!), this location is idyllic. We also hiked to Rainbow Falls in Gorges State Park, it was breathtaking. We will be back!
