Your own private entrance, deck, suite, spa bath, double shower, lounging area, eating area, and fire pit for our guests.

Our guests confirm that WE ARE CLOSE TO EVERYTHING!

As we move into our tenth year with Vacation Rentals, our goal remains the same: To provide our guests with a safe location to stay and super clean accommodations. We use the recommendations of the CDC for disinfecting between each visiting guest. We use plush towels, hand towels, and wash cloths.

We have three new features to ensure our guests have an exceptional time in Asheville. First, we have added a fire pit with supplied fire wood provided as an optional feature and for a slight additional fee. Second, we now have a whole house generator so our guests have an uninterrupted power source while here. And, third, we just installed a new mini-split air conditioning unit so guests have complete control over their room temperature and can be comfortable year around.

When you stay with us, we look out for youā€¦we turn on extra lights when you come and go and weā€™ll help you with anything you might need while youā€™re here. As many of our guests have stated in their reviews, we are close and easily accessible to everything in the Asheville area. In addition to Asheville, weā€™re midway between Black Mountain and Cherokee in the Great Smoky Mountains. Many of our guests have commented that our suite is bigger than the picture looks ā€“ it is over 500 square feet! We offer high-end bedding with a NEW pillow-top mattress, separate seating area, a dining table, hotel quality bath linens and bath amenities, large spa tub bath and separate double shower, and private deck/porch with lovely views of the mountains. Paved entrance and reserved parking allow guests to come & go as they please. For your entertainment while lounging in your seating area or from your bed, we offer Charter Spectrum Live Streaming Television, Hulu, Prime Video, Paramount Plus, and others. For your listening pleasure, Spectrum offers multiple music channels, and free WIFI. Also in the suite is a DVD player, microwave oven, Keurig Coffee Maker, and refrigerator/freezer. Uber Cab and Lyfte are available to and from the location at 72 Candler Knob Road, Asheville. 28806. We have well over 300 five-star reviews from VRBO and other rental sites. Great place for us, just what we were looking for. Nice place to lay our heads and get cleaned up after hiking on the blue ridge parkway. Clean, comfortable, and Ken and Patti were great hosts. Will be back.

It's a lovely bnb, truly living up to it's name "Top of the Knob". I found the driveway a little intimidating getting in and out but it was worth the effort. Loved all the little touches that made it so nice. The hot tub was a true bonus and having a makeup mirror was also a treat . Great advice in finding groceries and on my department to Downtown Ashville. Wonderful hosts!

We had a lovely stay here this past weekend. Patti and Ken were waiting for us when we pulled up and were very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed, after that we really didnā€™t see them, which was nice because it felt private. Itā€™s very peaceful, and the scenery is amazing. The place had everything we could need and was very spacious with good wifi, too. We mostly just used this place as a place to sleep, so it was very convenient how close it was to downtown and other outdoor activities.

This place was perfect for a single lady traveling solo. It was immaculate and very comfortable. The outside spaces to just sit and relax were so peaceful and a great place to enjoy a good book. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. All needed amenities were provided. A quiet and beautiful place to retreat to after a busy day visiting the sites in Asheville.

The location was great for our stay- close to the Biltmore and Arboretum. The property was clean, spacious, and comfortable . The landscaping was full of spring blooms. The owners were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for sites to see and restaurants to partake. Although it was not a problem, the property is connected to the ownerā€™s main house.

Everything was so nice even though I went at a time when it was cold (March). Only drawback was that the driveway was very steep and my vehicle was unable to make the sharp turn to enter the property. No problems, though, as the owners explained how to do it. Would recommend this place to others.

The place was just as described and easy to find. Even though itā€™s in a neighborhood it felt very private. Exceptionally clean and set up perfect for a place to hang out and sleep when we werenā€™t touring the area. Will definitely re-book the next time weā€™re headed to Asheville.

We had tickets to the Glass exhibition and didn't want hotel. The cabin is at the top of a narrow, steep driveway, on a less than desirable road. But the cabin was perfect for us! Clean, quiet, beautiful grounds and everything we wanted. We hadwonderful

We thoroughly enjoyed our Labor Day weekend stay at Top O' the Knob, which is aptly named. Ken and Patti are gracious hosts and welcomed us before, during and after our visit to their spotless and meticulously maintained chalet. I feel very fortunate we were able to secure this property despite my late near last minute search for a 40th anniversary weekend getaway location on what proved to be a very busy travel weekend. Highly recommend this location. It was extremely homey and a very relaxing stay with some much needed comfort after a long travel day and a visit to Biltmore. Thanks for your hospitality and sharing your lovely space with us.

This was my first time using one of these. The places was nice, clean and well organized. The hosts (Ken and Patti) were great, very accommodating. Only stayed 2 nights so we were not at the place very much, but would definitely consider staying there again.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at this great place. Check in was easy, and the hosts communicated with us very clearly prior to arrival. They greeted us when we arrived and let us know to text them if we needed anything. The room is spacious and clean. It had dishes for two which was nice to have at our disposal. The little refrigerator worked well for our needs. We appreciated the separate air conditioning unit and overhead fan which kept the room nice and cool. The bathroom has two sinks which is very convenient, and the shower is a walk-in which makes it accessible to most people. The bed was comfortable and sheets nice and clean. The property is well-maintained and the backyard feels like you're a million miles away even though it's conveniently located. We did not get the chance to use the fire pit, but would love to the next time we stay. Overall, a great experience, and we would book again!

From SW Florida to Charleston, Asheville, over to Ellijay then to Vero Beach Florida, then back to SW Florida. This stop was the perfect place to stay for a few days while touring Asheville. Great communication, private, and clean. Big bathroom, private parking spot, and quiet.

We were in town to visit the Biltmore and explore the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Room and property are perfectly maintained by Ken and Patti. The hosts were very helpful with location and attractions information in the Ashville area. This is is a nice quite location just minutes from anywhere in Ashville. Good access to the Biltmore or to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit Ashville next.

The cottage porch looks out into a well-maintained garden featuring various types of lily in addition to other flowers, shrubs, and trees. After day trips to the trails and tubing of Bryson City (~1 hr) and to Asheville for wandering or running, just sitting in a mosquito-free chair+foot rest and sipping a drink while looking at this vista was perfect!

The property at top of the knob was everything we couldā€™ve asked for the accommodations were welcoming and comfortable, peaceful, and relaxing. The host was gracious and almost felt like family by the time we left.
