Mackenzie Manor is located in Black Mountain, NC Tripadvisor's 2017 "America's Prettiest Small Town".

The private, quaint home is surrounded by very few neighbors, making it the perfect place to sit back & relax while being close enough to enjoy all that Western North Carolina has to offer. A quick 2 minute drive from downtown Black Mountain, Ridgecrest & Montreat & only 15 minutes from Asheville. Enjoy easy access to the local grocery stores & tailgate markets. Many local attractions including The Biltmore Estate, Grove Park Inn, Chimney Rock & Lake Lure are all within a 15 to 30 minute drive.

Beautiful refinished concrete floors with plush area rugs and new central heating and air. New updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave. The newly refinished antique dining table seats 4.

This home has a very nice large, flat back yard with outdoor eating area & gas grill. The side yard is large enough for a game of badminton, corn hole, horse shoes or croquet. Both yards are great for children to run and play outside!

The living room has new furniture & a new 50’ HD smart TV. Enjoy easy access to Netflix, Vudu, Hulu and more using your login information.

The bedrooms have beautiful antique side tables with easy access charging ports, new mattresses & new soft comfortable bedding. One bedroom has a queen size bed. The 2nd bedroom has been updated with a full size bed.

This home has just been completely remodeled & newly decorated. All windows are covered with new blinds and/or sheers.

All linens are provided, as well as a starter supply of paper products, dish soap and laundry detergent. Extra pillows, blankets and quilts are also available for use.

It is fully equipped with everything you would need to have an amazing weekend or extended stay!

Single-night requests are welcome only on a last-minute basis, or in the case of a single-night opening on the calendar. That being said, if you need a single night and see availability on our calendar please feel free to send us a message.

Perfect little cottage

Black Mtn. Fun Art Trip

I was in Black Mtn. for my second time and enjoyed being in a home rather than a hotel. The weather wasn't the best so I wasn't able to enjoy the out of doors as much as I would have liked to. I enjoyed my stay very much.

BEAUTIFUL! COZY! CLEAN!

A lovely place to stay! 5 Stars! We absolutely loved our time and felt so comfortable! So many thoughtful amenities and super clean. Hosts are super responsive. House is in a peaceful area but really close to restaurants and the charming town of Black Mountain. Would stay here again in an instant!

Feels Like Home

The cottage was well appointed, immaculate and in a good central location. It was a peaceful place to come back to every day after a long hike. Sweet Spot

This place is a gem! It is in a great location, quiet, peaceful and yet, close to town. The property is well appointed and very clean. The town of Black Mountain is a gem as well! Wonderful restaurants and lovely shops greet you and the Ingle’s market close by has every grocery food, wine and related item you could imagine. The surrounding area is breathtaking. The Biltmore Estate is minutes away in Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway is close by as are wonderful hiking trails, waterfalls and mountain vistas. During our two week stay we went somewhere new each day and there was something wonderful to see and experience at every turn! Having our lovely home to return to at days end was a welcome bonus! All in all it is hard to imagine a better place to be.

Friends Retreat

My college roommate and I (from many years past) had a wonderful stay in your charming, spotless, and oh-so-comfortable cottage. This is my second stay here and I’m already planning another visit for the fall. So close to so much…hiking, Black Mountain, great restaurants and shops and a fantastic yoga studio too! New Year’s Eve weekend getaway

The home was absolutely amazing! Warm and welcoming. Very well maintained and immaculately clean. It was close to the town of Black Mountain and Asheville. I definitely plan on renting this home again! Thank you for such wonderful service and accommodations.

Great spot for our knitting retreat!

Great getaway

The house was very clean and exactly as shown. The beds slept great. They had a Christmas tree nicely decorated in the living room. It was off the main road so it was nice and quiet. We had a great time and hope to stay here on our next visit.

Comfortable, clean, peaceful

We spent 8 nights at this cute little place in mid September, 2021. It was perfect for the two of us, but really is big enough for a larger group. We only used one of the two bedrooms, slept well, showered, cooked a few meals, did laundry, spent some time online and generally used it as our place to regroup after long days out and about, visiting Black Mountain and the greater Asheville area. The owners were responsive and very quick to take care of a couple of minor issues. We'd definitely rent this unit again.
